All in all, a good review. Two suggestions to resolve "problems" you mentioned. First, buy a better lens hood. After I lost my hood, purchased third party one for a very reasonable price. Second, to avoid vignetting stop down only a couple of stops. That will help resolve it.
i bought one used over a year ago for $120 from a camera store..!.. i use my zeiss 18mm a lot.. it was a little more costly but its amazing whats more amazing is just how good the samyang 24mm is & so compact light the images video is excellent.. as you say.. watching your revew reminded me i had the tiny lens hood on permanently..
Yes. If you plan to layer your images with smaller apertures, like f/5.6 or f/8, this lens will perform well. I'm thinking of buying it myself for the Sony a6400.
Hope you guys enjoyed my latest video! It's been hard to go out during lockdowns etc but I'm finally able to take trips out again! Here are my opinions on the Samyang 24mm FE 2.8 lens for Sony. Get yours here: geni.us/N486G
Hey Nguyen! In all honesty I've not tried the Tamron 24mm, however I also looked into it before I bought the Samyang. The Tamron is apparently a bit better with sharpness and the macro feature is good. But has noisy and unreliable autofocus, wheras the Samyang is super fast and reliable but maybe a tiny bit less sharp. Although I've taken some great photos with the Samyang. It's a really great lens! And even considering selling my Sony 28mm
I plan to buy this lens for street photography. What do you think: is it suitable for that?
