The scare actors are amazing this year. They can switch seamlessly from super creepy for adults to fun, interactive non-terrifying and welcoming to children. I was so impressed how each individual could read the park guests, switch gears, and interact appropriately without breaking character. The talent is tremendous. Never the same night twice. There are several actors in the video that I would love to shout out for creating memories with my kids and I that we will have for years. Really, the guy in Fallout Zone screaming about radiation was so wonderful and friendly to the children who he interacted with, I never would have guessed he had that voice. Didn't know about the creature cards. Also...where is Fryboy or any of the sliders in Decayed Brigade?
I have to say, their sets are seriously on point. Not only did they obviously put good money into the event, but spent it well. I feel like some of the scare actors need a little practice, but they aren't bad by any stretch, and the streetmosphere characters are good. Some of them aren't going to be able to talk in a week though. I think my favorite was the white light/black light make-up on the CarnEvil characters. They must have really improved the quality of 'invisible' black light make-up since the last time I used it, because it was staying very bright and not smudging or coming off no matter what the actors were doing. It also wasn't being interfered with at all by the regular make-up, giving a very clean effect between the two modes. Top tier.
We are season pass holders at Hershey and are there all the time! We attempted to do Dark Nights the weekend after getting home from HHN Orlando. Big mistake. We refused to wait 90+ minutes for the houses that clearly don't measure up to HHN. We did get the tasting pass... HP food is always amazing!!
Thanks for coming back out and trying Dark Nights again, Kevin! So glad you liked it this year! And fun seeing that you know Andrew! I was a scare actor last year and again this year and have been having a blast. Appreciate the comments! Only thing I’ll say is that the images in your thumbnail aren’t from our event!
Go figure that the park run by the food company has the best overall fare. Nice that the park upped it's game from last year. I still see some room for growth, but it's cool to see other places trying their hand at making quality scary experiences all around the country!
Oh man!! If they include the Dark Knights access with the ticket for admission, I'm 100% going next year!! Great video! We love Hershey Park! It would have been funny if in the Radiation Zone they made reference to 3 mile island which is only about 20 min away from there....too much??

Oh gosh those do sound like long waits. It was a pretty slow day when we went a couple of weeks ago

Hey Kevin! We were just at Dark Nights and stayed at the Hershey Hotel. Was a blast! We live close
Someday I too will get to travel and visit spooky attractions and themeparks for halloween.

That's actually the loose inspiration behind the scare zone! Everything is tied to local PA folklore/history.
@@abbeyfrisco very cool! Thanks for letting me know. We are only a couple of hours away from Hershey and were just there in Aug. Love that park!
Love this Halloween video Kevin and in the word's of your nan it's a must.
I find it really cool that use real circus people for this. I used to vist Hershy Park when I was a kid.
nailed it!
Kevin! Have you been to 301 Devils Playground in Galena, MD before? PLEASE look into it
What did you guys think about Hershey Park Dark Nights 2023?
looked very cool and the food also looked really great!
What a fun experience. What is the camera policy? Do you need to have special permission for the company.?
Are the scareactors using their voice? For their sake I appreciate the Universal programed voices. Hit the button and lip sync, 😆
We are 😜 can be very fun because we can switch it up and try new things but it does get pretty draining.
