Very well explained in detail about the new formula of higher pension calculation. But there is a glaring mistake in calculation of TDS to the extent that while calculating TDS the tax was calculated on total arrears of Rs. 14,17,160/- instead of net arrears. TDS is to be calculated on arrears minus pension which was already paid i.e., 14,17,160 minus 1,11,483. Second mistake is that in this vedio tax was calculated on old regime basis where as new tax regime calculation is definitely advantageous. Subject to above this vedio is very good attempt to explain the subject matter.

Sir, Great analysis explained in simple and easy steps. My observation is that for higher pension we have to pay extra amount to EPFO and if we live longer it's in profit but if we are no more then the spouse will get half the pension and after her death nominee will get nothing nor the amount deposited to EPFO will be returned back. On the other hand if we keep the same amount in Bank FD and withdraw the interest only monthly, then even after our death the interest amount will be same and principal will be returned back after maturity to self/spouse/nominee. Thirdly if we invest the amount in some annuity scheme,we will get the same amount calculated monthly till our death and thereafter to the spouse and after the spouse death the principal initial amount will be refunded back to nominee. I request you to also calculate the third case(annuity) and it's benefits, if any, vis-a-vis EPFO higher pension amount to be deposited & Bank FDs. Thanks. Rajesh Chavan.
Keeping in view the increasing life expectancy, higher pension would be a better option. If you take annuity,you will get much smaller amount than the higher pension amount.mostly only half.. As I told using systematic withdrawal plan, to get equal amount of money as the higher pension, money will not last till 67yrs

Very well explained in detail about the new formula of higher pension calculation. But there is a glaring mistake in calculation of TDS to the extent that while calculating TDS the tax was calculated on total arrears of Rs. 14,17,160/- instead of net arrears. TDS is to be calculated on arrears minus pension which was already paid i.e., 14,17,160 minus 1,11,483.
Second mistake is that in this vedio tax was calculated on old regime basis where as new tax regime calculation is definitely advantageous.
Subject to above this vedio is very good attempt to explain the subject matter.

Great analysis explained in simple and easy steps.
My observation is that for higher pension we have to pay extra amount to EPFO and if we live longer it's in profit but if we are no more then the spouse will get half the pension and after her death nominee will get nothing nor the amount deposited to EPFO will be returned back.
On the other hand if we keep the same amount in Bank FD and withdraw the interest only monthly, then even after our death the interest amount will be same and principal will be returned back after maturity to self/spouse/nominee.
Thirdly if we invest the amount in some annuity scheme,we will get the same amount calculated monthly till our death and thereafter to the spouse and after the spouse death the principal initial amount will be refunded back to nominee.
I request you to also calculate the third case(annuity) and it's benefits, if any, vis-a-vis EPFO higher pension amount to be deposited & Bank FDs.

Keeping in view the increasing life expectancy, higher pension would be a better option. If you take annuity,you will get much smaller amount than the higher pension amount.mostly only half..
As I told using systematic withdrawal plan, to get equal amount of money as the higher pension, money will not last till 67yrs
