Great train to look at marra hope you get to see it up close soon..being a replica i wonder if the engine is fully fitted? Its proving popular as its easy to park up off the a66 and have a look at it. This hopefully will be a winner and compliment the distillery up the road getting lots of visitors bringing coin to the area.. Nice easy walking up Wythop bit sludgy and claggy on the top .Snow coverings on Skiddaw and Ullock but surprisingly it wasnt baltic..nice and quiet to get a cobweb blower walk in.atb Mark.

Lol i was chuffed to bits to see it...like my trains marra.You be buying me afternoon tea in the autumn anyway once it opens 🤣 Crossing gates are still kept in some old lines at spots..remember that yan near Wooler ? Still a good feature. Would have loved to have gone ont train from Workington to Keswick but you know im a spring chicken so was too young. 🤣The walk was ok nice and easy..never been by that forestry commision office spot ..looks to be more tracks since i was last int woods??.atb Mark.
It’s good to see the replica train for Murder on the Orient Express is being repurposed. Also, I’m curious where the sleeping car is? I only noticed there’s only the restaurant, baggage and salon car.
Hello John,thanks for the comment..its fantastic to see an icon from a film moored locally..I am itching to see what it currently looks like inside ..you have a point about the sleeping car...maybe that has been purchased by someone else hence this what was left..I am sure the owners would have the answers no doubt. I said in the vid it was brought from France..I stand corrected it was from somewhere down southern England...many moons ago ??was actually 2017 when the film was made...mind it could easily have been the 1974 film...🤣Must get my facts right folks in my vids..must get a grip 🤣🤣🤣

tree,s are ok,if there planted in the right place,there ov not in the right place here,i would make load logs out of them,and make sure the stumps didn,t grow back,its not just here,problem with tree,s people just plonk them anywhere & everywhere,& don,t think about hnjw there going to increase in size as they grow,chop the lot down
needs all them tree,s cut down,so to get good view of the train & station from the a66,when the leaves start coming on them tree,s in the spring,you won,t see anything,so they neet cut down,
Spookily your post came when i heard the opposite is happening....Apparently more trees were being planted in the area around the old station...Will have to find out when i next go by there Think they may want to keep it hidden from the a66 as much as possible?.atb Mark.

Sadly, we thought we had bought the sleeper/first class carriage but it went elsewhere! Update on progress - more delays but aiming for July 2021 now.
