Arbaal’s campaign is amazing and has me hooked. It’s the first campaign that really blew me away. Everything just feels so good. I was put off playing Khorne for so long because of demon units. So when Arbaal came around with a focus on mortal units? Sign me up.
Id love if CA would go back on the prievous LLs where these mechanics are applicable, but I assume Goldfang will be more of a template for Dogs of War.
Gorbad is my new favourite never really played much Greenskins I love that it can be a little challenging at the start and his mechanics are pretty cool not everyone loves this dlc but I think OOD for me is great not TOD quality it’s still a great dlc for me 🎉hopefully we get a lot more dlc I hope it’s slaanesh dlc next I’d be cool with dogs of war too though
After seeing this video i would like them to add some flavor to vanilla dwarf campaigns. Aside from Thorek and Malakai others seems so dull even tho they got new tools but no campaign mechanics. Also a kislev , Kairos update wouldnt be bad.
personally i love the challenge of kairos’ early game, especially the oxyotl wall. Unfortunately the second you leave the southern chaos wastes it gets boring
Why Grimgor, but not Gorbad? He have interesting and hard start without OP units and with proper opponents, and also lore-friendly campagin flow. And his mechanic force you experiment with your army composition and not auto-resolve battles just to play combo. Simply Karl Franz, but ork.
Nomadic factions are fun because you get to experience more of the world map content and you dont have to struggle with holding territory which eventually turns into a end turn snoozefest. I also really like changeling because even if you cannot lose, it is a loreful campaign and really nails down the Tzeentch feel of pranking the world. I really wish those missions with actual tangible world impacting results would be the new questing system instead of "capture this" "defeat this" "build this here". I play this game because i enjoy the setting and rpg-like elements in strategy games as far as i remember, are pretty rare. As for the unit variety, i usually find myself using 50+ unit mods to keep the rosters crowded so i can pick and choose thematic/varied armies, to avoid cookie cutter setups. As a veteran total war player i just want more thematic stuff, unit variety, and more rpg elements and more fleshed out victory objectives that have at least minimal narrative to them. Yes there are mods but this just boils down to skyrim tier discussion.
i really don't get why you don't like Gorbad its an excellent campaign, there are some very strong plans but better than this the plans can be used by all armies which allow you to make almost any unit and themed armies very workable, im having a blast with him. Personally i would say this is one of the best campains in the game
Did you know that if the AI lord has a lightning strike and he decides to attack bloodhost that so close to arbaal and forces him to reinforce, that’s count as a defeat and you lose the whole campaign 😅😅
I played on VH/VH and got lightning strike by ikit claw with a weak bloodhost (lets be honest even strong 20 stack bloodhost can’t beat ikit’s main army) and lost the campaign
Personally, I'd like to finish the campaigns. Unfortunately, since the update the game seems to crash all the time. My PC is towards the minimum spec level but was running it fine before the patch.
@TheZlugg my friend had a similar problem. He uninstall then reinstalled the game then verified the files. Not had an issue since. Give it a try. Hopefully it works for you
Just for arbaal? Probably not. But the woc dlc itself is worth it I would say. Probably my favourite dlc so far. And if you play a lot of chaos it's a MUST because 2 of the 4 chaos factions have bad frontline units...
@ I end up just deleting most of mine so it doesn’t cut down on performance, but yeah … I think I’ve painted half the map by turn 60 and I only have 3 recruited armies and hardly even use them besides skulltaker
Golg needs to earn literally half the meat and money in my opinion. But it was super fun

nah enough with the teleports.i like the mechanic but we got enough of them now. especially considering that nagash should have one aswell
I think it would be closer to Arbaal's mechanically.

Karl is the first campaign I played (again, of course) after the previous DLC and it's absolutely fantastic now.
To get golgfag and arbaal in this list shows its a good Dlc.

his start is not hard when you can own karak eight peek in turn 2

no its a easy campaign but not broken like many of the DLC campaigns and its great fun

I cant get the mercenary contracts to work with him. The bounties work fine.

i agree, once your skull cape is full you can just raze the world. I have around 200 blood host in my campaign, just broken as fuck X)
