  • I want to share a finding with you out there how the Growatt SPF 5000 ES negotiating the host and slave configuration in a single phase parallel setup.

    I am so happy that I changed to deye 12k LP3 . I have connect it in Island Mode like the spf5000es. Running perfect. The 90 day problem from the spf 5000es and the flicker light problem with coffee machine and 3d printer was my main problem with spf5000es.

      never had any of the issues with the SPF5000ES regarding powering all the consumers in the house. no flickering light, no coffee machine issues and np 3D printer issues...

      I'm happy for you that you chose a suitable setup for your needs, but deye is not the holy grail as they modify their hybrid inverters by software to behave as a real island inverter, only. the deye exports energy as the sunXXk is a hybrid inverter. even if you set zero export. I have a 10k here for testing and not convinced by now to exchange growatts

    You can probably also put the 2 dry contacts in series or parallel (I don't remember if your setup uses NO or NC) that way it doesn't matter which is host. I guess if you use NO then in parallel, if you use NC then in series.

      yes you are right and I agree but the bigger issue is the battery comms...
