Beautiful work on this incredible aircraft...she really did the business during Desert Storm. I really like this jet with the large rudder and horizontal stabs....kudos on the build..well done
Terrific build as usual.........If you prime with white all you have to do is add the black pre-shade. Or vice versa, prime with black and just add the white.
Beautiful build! I have the RAF GR1 version in the stash and after a 10 year break I want to get back into modeling again. Did attempt to build one when they first came out but found it very complex at the time and had since built Hasegawa F-111 and F-14a so hopefully will find this more easy! Thank you for a very inspirational video!
Thank you.It is a great kit with awesome details.I am also looking to get the gr1 someday and do a raf 1980s tornado. It is a great thing that you are getting back into scale modelling.I wish you luck
First of all I want to congratulate with you for this built & other builds already you done previously I always follow every build you do because I build 1/72nd jet too, secondly may I asking you something about the mix to achieve that Locusta Italian Tornado scheme please?because I'm working on the 1:72nd Revell Italian Tornado Op Locusta, but I have to get a hold a bit on it,because the only paint that I find that match the exact Federal Standard it is from Life Color acrylic paint's,but I don't like to use acrylic paints and I always worked with enamel's, so could you please guide me which enamel paint's can I use in enamel's?because the Italian Locusta scheme is not that semple to get the right mix. Thanks a lot
Thank you Charlie.I am glad you like my work.I hope you will keep supporting by warching my videos in the future. The paint mix is gunze Rlm79 with some white and yellow.
For sure I will continue watching your build's and thanks very much for helping me about the mix for this tornado because now looks much easy to mix.Well done thanks again and keep it up in this fantastic hobby we love a lot.
The decals had to be overpainted with another hand of sand yellow to make them less brightless. The Italian Tornados had and have two BOZ "chaff dispensers", not only one as in your model. In any case is a good job!
I saw some pics where the roundels were not overpainted so I decided to leave it like this. The second boz pod I plan to add after I find it and buy it.The revell tornado has only one in the box :(
@@doctormig2709 Roundels, and "rescue" not overpainted were typical of Tornadoes returned from the Gulf. They remained in desert livery till late '90s.... New roundels were applied on them once in Italy, as well as squadron numbers.
Excellent!!!! Can i ask you what is your homemade washing paint? It seems black tempera paint thinned with water, like I do, but your result is better than mine.
Nice camo, the panel lines look great! Also nice showing the cleaning and sanding seams and joins. I have one question though, what's with the nitro? It's not to aggressive?
Hi how come he gave the desert yellow paint And then the color mix? He couldn't give the mix directly. Leaving aside the first paint, why did he do that to me?
The glue has a very thin consistency thus working by capillary action. It will find it's way between the parts gluing them together while any residue on the surface of the model will evaporate very quickly.
Yeah it is.When youbsee it with your own eyes the subtle variations of color and simualted fading are visible. On the pictures unfortunaltey not all can be seen
@@doctormig2709 Hi Now I understand what he did he first gave the coat of desert yellow paint, without riku covering the pre-wash then at the act that mix of yellow white colors and the last last color. Now I understand everything
That's a fabulous job Dragan.
Thanks :)
Absolutely superb, i was fortunate enough to work on the real thing and that model takes me back in time. Well done!
Thanks :)
Nice work Doc!
Thanks Michael :)
Svaka čast ljudino ✌️👍🙏🇭🇷
Hvala puno :)
Përshëndetje. është mirë të shohësh njeriun tonë të jetë në këtë hobi interesant. Duhet të bëni më shumë subjekte shqiptare.
I google translate works ok I would like to thank you and to tell you that I plan on doing an albanian mig-15 someday.I will most likley film it.
Amazing Italian Tornado, Op Locusta 1991...well done
Thanks :)

An utterly excellent build. Great looking Tornado.

Wow, that weathering is beautiful! Super neat build!

Superb result 👍

Beautiful job Dragan. What a great looking plane they are.
Thank yoi Dana. They are great.I love the tornado.
very great build !...greats from Italy :-)
Thanks ;) greetings from North Macedonia ;)
Muy buen trabajo, me gusto el efecto de humo con grafito en el ala de cola.
Thank you ;)
Fantastic work. Beautifully detailed cockpit and great end result as usual. Love the colors and the staining on the rudder.
Thanks.Cheers ;)
Great video ! Just got 2 in the mail a few minutes ago ! Take care, Tony
Thank you.Awesome stuff.I also have the tamiya/italeri F3 in the stash and I want another Gr1 and ids for my collection.
Lovely job, a well worn look 👍
Thank you ;)
Very good for 1/48, but it is 1/72! Great job!
Thanks.I apriciate it ;)
🙌🏻 Another Master piece!
Bravo! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 🍻👋🏻
Thank you very much ;)
Hello colleague, background music is very well chosen, it generates a well-being according to the great work you do.
Thank you for the kind words and support.Take care
Nice work. May I ask how you make the water based wash you used for the panel lines? Thanks
Thanks.Rotring drawing ink water and liquid soap ;)

19:27 How do you do the homemade water based wash?
Thanks.I used a water based ink for drawing mixex with watter and luqiud soap ;)

RlM 81 gunze :)

Hello.Yeah of course.I use water based Ink mixed with water and liquid soap to inproove the flow.
@@doctormig2709 thank you very much, but by "ink" do you mean tempera paint?
That's a beautiful Tonka. Nice Job! As always!! I like that it is an italian one. Everyone builds Luftwaffe or RAF ones (including me 😂). Cheers!
Thanks.I also am looking to do a raf gr1 and a german marine one with the cormoran anthsip missiles :D
@@doctormig2709 Nice! I like this one most, but haven't build it yet: twitter.com/De_JaY/status/522443624572018689?s=09
Just a comment for the algorithm
I like that build, you did well, thumbs up and subbed of course
Thanks a lot and feel free to check out my other videos ;)
DOCTOR MiG You are welcome on my Chanel too. I also do scale modeling on TH-cam
Thanks.I will check it out for sure
Nice camo, the panel lines look great! Also nice showing the cleaning and sanding seams and joins. I have one question though, what's with the nitro? It's not to aggressive?
Thank you.The nitro thinner is used to dilute the paints. It does not affect the plastic and thr paints dry really fast.Almost inatantly.
The base of the vertical stabilizer in the Tornado is stained because of the clamshell thrust reverser system.
Hi how come he gave the desert yellow paint And then the color mix? He couldn't give the mix directly. Leaving aside the first paint, why did he do that to me?
Great job as usual. I have one question. You always fit the various parts applying the glue over it. How can you pull away the glue residues ?
The glue has a very thin consistency thus working by capillary action. It will find it's way between the parts gluing them together while any residue on the surface of the model will evaporate very quickly.
Thank you so much
Exactly it evaporates and leaves no residue. When I accidently apply more and it does I just sand it down.
🇮🇹🇮🇹👍❤️😊🤗🤩
I have only 1 question, why so much work with preshading if later was covered all by paint? Its worth? Maybe only weathering would be enough...
Yeah it is.When youbsee it with your own eyes the subtle variations of color and simualted fading are visible. On the pictures unfortunaltey not all can be seen
another question, after giving the yellow sand, after I used a mix of yellow, white and .... lm79 ... it seems to me, why?
I dont understand the question.
@@doctormig2709 hello, why did you give the mix of cilori (sand, white and lm79) the sand you gave pruma was not enough?
@@doctormig2709 Hi Now I understand what he did he first gave the coat of desert yellow paint, without riku covering the pre-wash then at the act that mix of yellow white colors and the last last color. Now I understand everything
I am glad you did.
cheers,Dragan
hello, to make the smoke effect on the drift tail what did you use?
Hello.I used black dry pastel grinded to a powder and a Q-tip to aplicate it to the model ;)
Beautiful Tornado but the Ecm pod AEG Cerberus (left wing) it has never been used by Aeronautica Militare Italiana.
Thank you for the response and input.I wilk try to find the the other one and replace the AEG.I just could jot find one in time :(
@@doctormig2709 Unfortunately Revell supplied just one pod BOZ. The italian Tornadoes mount two of these. Ciao
I know.I will try to find a spare one and replace it in the future.
Beautiful, where are those decals from?
Thank you.I got them from a friend.I dont know who the manufacturer is
I accept this low quality from Revell because i have great expectation from them. DISSAPOINTED.
Congrats for your work.
Tha k you
What did use weight
Just in case
@@doctormig2709 nose weight
Yes
Why are you using super glue? I had no problems gluing the Revell Tornado with ordinary plastic glue.
It is faster and it doubles as filler ;)
Nice build, but you made some mistakes with the masking in the underside, and the main color is more dark
Thank you for the input.Next on will be more accurate ;)
the real aircraft was green, sand, now gray
