The three most beautiful words in the English language? “It’s Chunky Time!”.

Nice job on modifying that hood bracket. Starter seems decent, lighter anyway

Yessir I find it hilarious how close to NOT working this actually was. If the booster or master cyl was just a fraction on an inch different none of it would be possible 😄 oh and the starter, just tack the cost of that onto the wildly growing expenses I've had just getting this running.

That starter sure cranks over fast now hey ? I ended up having to redrill my chrome grill from my parts van when i installed it because the latch was in a different location on the chrome grill. now i know why the locations were different. great update Kevin

That's another unknown to me. If I ever find a power brake hood and latch..... will the latch fit the vans mounting points and grille? Being that mine is a 69 and most if not all (not sure) power hoods are probably from 71-74

My 73 shorty had manual brakes, but the hood and latch were set up for power brakes. I have two of everything, but I'm also not done with my build. I wish I could offer them to you now, but I have some months before I'll start unloading my extras.
Were your hood stops (far right and far left, adjustable bumpers) missing, or you haven't cleaned and painted them yet? Your 300 sounds smooth! I've enjoyed watching your build and I have a feeling you'll see it through. As a lost Giants fan, I'm all in on your Lions this year. Keep up the good work!

I am thinking the 71-74 had the better location hood latch. The 69 grille is not ideal for using the later model latch I am assuming.. I have the little hood bumpers/adjusters and I need to install them soon. Thanks for watching. The Lions are hopefully going all the way this year! I have been thru all the bad years and it feels like it's our time!

Good evening Sir, looking good , glad to see her back out running errands. I have to ask, what do you think about those drum bakes. mine are wicked touchy. Enjoy the new toy and I wish everyone a Merry Christmas.

Yeah the drums seem to be working well and effective but I noticed the other day when braking hard it pulls to the left a split second before the right brake engages, leading me to believe i should bleed the right front again...but I haven't done it yet! Merry Christmas to you too!

1973, we were talking about the hoods ford may have changed the hood when they changed the grill, I don’t know what year that was for sure 🤔

You may need to modify your cowl to mount the bracket 😵‍💫
