Heads up, the first ghost was super aggressive super fast because you guys broke the ouija board. Basically, when you first click it, the planchet appears on the board. Then, you can ask questions like "where are you?" Every question has a chance of breaking the board, so be careful. When you are done, you have to say goodbye to deactivate the board. If you don't say goodbye, you will break the board when you walk away. If the board breaks, the grace period will instantly end (If still active), and the ghost will get very aggressive.

Every question doesn't have chance to break the board it is based on sanity remaining, if you ask a question and don't have enough sanity for the question you asked the board will break, if you say hide and seek it will count down from 10 then instantly break, if you walk away without saying goodbye it will break. When the board breaks the ghost will immediately go into a cursed hunt (longer duration) and all hunts will then be cursed hunts for the remainder of the contract and it will drain the sanity of anyone near the board when it breaks.

I'm sure someone else mentioned this but the ghost can hear you, period. Even if you aren't pushing the communication button...so all the screaming just leads them right to you.
Yeah, they know, or at least, have been informed. Their response was, well, sure, but a livestream playthrough where we don't talk would just suck.
The point is to stop talking during a hunt so the ghost can’t hear you when you turn your light off. Other streamers do it fine

@@jean-paulaudette9246 it’s not the “way I want”. I don’t care that they scream and talk the whole time. It’s a lot of fun watching them. I was just stating that it doesn’t have to be a “live stream where we don’t talk”. It’s not about not talking the whole time but when they are asking why they are getting killed when they have hid and their light is off, the extra noise is the “why”. I prefer that they don’t take it so seriously. It’s more fun to watch with the panic screaming.
They aren't talking though the in-game voice chat, so I'm pretty sure it can't hear them.
You need to ask questions with the spirit box, it won't talk on it just having it on in the room or saying hello. It only responds to the phrases programmed in like "where are you? How old are you? Are you close? Are you friendly" or anything that the voice recognition might think was one of those phrases and you have to have the lights off and if it is an alone ghost it won't respond if there is anyone else in the room. All ghosts effect electronics within a range. In order to hide from the ghost you have to break line of sight, if you hide in plain view of the ghost it will come right to your hiding spot, you will only get evidence (except sometimes emf5) in the ghosts favorite room(it can change the favorite room sometimes but as long as it's in the room that is where you get the evidence wandering the house once you found the ghost is a waste of time unless it stops doing things.) It is only a hunt if the entrance gets locked, otherwise it's just a ghost event which drains sanity but the ghost can't kill you. Fingerprints can only be found on doors, windows, light switches, and coolers for like 120 seconds(less on higher difficulties) after the ghost touches them. Crucifix dropped on the floor stops the ghost from hunting twice if it tries to hunt from the area around the crucifix, smudge sticks confuse the ghost during the hunt(and/or prevent hunting for a period of time) allowing you to run through/past it without getting killed and hide without being counted as being in line of sight. Also Ouija boards are not the only cursed possession anymore, they added a bunch a few updates back and you will always have one of them in the map unless you turn them off in custom difficulty.
Also, with the Spirit Box, if you ask a question and the 'x' lights up, that means the ghost can't use the Spirit Box. And don't call out it's name when asking questions. The only thing it'll hear is it's name, which will make it aggressive... 😅 So just straight up ask "How old are you?" "Are you here?" So on and so forth
Technically it doesn't mean it *can't* use it, it just means it's not currently responding. It could also be too far away/in a different room or it could just not feel like answering. (I think there's about a two thirds chance of it answering each time if it's able to.) True about the name though which seems to be something a lot of people do wrong!
@@littlebear274 Ah I see- I was told that that's a good indicator that the ghost can't/doesn't use the box~ But this is good to know~ And yes!! A lot of people get the name thing wrong, yes! It makes me feel so bad for them because then they or a team mate dies and it's like "Nnnnnooooooo T_T"
So from what i know the "X" doesn't mean that the ghost can't use the box, it is normally used to let the player know that the game is receiving the players voice input. So like if your mic isn't working proporly and the spirit box isn't getting the voice input it won't light up, but if it is the "x" will light up.

Also, turn off all electronics during a hunt or the ghost can track you. Just want to say as well, that a few times you guys ran out was just a 'ghost event' where the ghost was showing itself. Good photo opportunity. Basically, if the front door is locked, it's a hunt, if it's opened/can be opened, it's a ghost event.
Was anyone else super annoyed when Evan would lean over to watch what was happening on Katelyn’s monitor but would forget to switch it so her screen was the main one? I love there energy and this game . That is just had me yelling at my iPad while they played.

All those people in chat, they even asked for tips about the crucifix, and not one person told them that they were 100% wrong about how to use the crucifix. You don't throw the crucifix at the ghosts face, it has to be on the ground in the area where they try to start hunting and the smudge stick works the way they thought the crucifix worked, you have to light it in the ghosts face when it is hunting to confuse it for a few seconds

In an earlier stream, they noted that only one type of ghost could move through walls, so they used that fact to determine the type. It's clear that this is an updated, expanded version, but I think that's what he was thinking about. .

FUN FACT: if you take the car keys from the green dish in that little table from the first one they did you can honk the car like the ghost does sometimes if its in the garage
edit: also different ghosts now do what they are said to do! like a raju! they mess with the emf, camara, flashlight (anything electronic) making it become faster!

@@EvanandKatelynGamingUncut BTW, you can switch the difficulty setting any time in Grounded. No need to start over, just load the save and change the setting mid-game. I toggle the difficulty to mild when a boss fight and then back to med when normal game play.

You need to break line of sight with ghosts….go into closets or rooms and close the doors or crouch behind furniture. Then turn off your flashlight.

When u are ghost hunter and u are playing the prison map making sure u close the door of jail cell behind u so the ghost won't get u or I could be wrong.😅

This is so frustrating to watch. Why do all of them gather in the room when trying for the spirit box when the ghost only interacts when alone? Or asking the wrong questions. Then they cross out spirit box... They were better in the first two streams

Katelyn's mic isn't working which is why she's not getting responses on the Spirit Box. Look for the box X to darker and lighten which will show you the Spirit Box is detecting your voice. FYI, I had this issue and it was because I opened another program (Discord) for chat which took control of my mic.

They do play lots of kid friendly games, they are just playing spooky games for spooky season. You can find their whole playlists of long uncut sessions or short edited sessions.
There are plenty of kids who like spooky stuff. Both of mine love watching Phasmophobia and Dead by Daylight being played, for example.
@@snakesNslime whether or not a game is appropriate for a child is up to that child's parents. Don't want your kid watching Evan and Katelyn play Phasmo? They have about two dozen Minecraft videos to choose from. But you don't get to dictate to E&K what games they must play, nor do you get to decide what is or is not appropriate for other people's children.

@@laurendisney Yeah Phasmophobia can be scary for some people but there's nothing in it that's *inherently* inappropriate for children (like graphic violence and sexual content) so it only matters if the particular child enjoys spooky content or not, same as with adults. A lot of kids don't but some do. And personally a lot of the time watching people play this is more funny than scary! though I'm sure actually playing it would be different.

I love Evan and Katelyn dynamic and the atmosphere they create. I love the videos with Julie, BUT, I hate the screaming! That's why I don't watch gaming channels, at least typical ones, I hate the energy, it's so annoying... I am sorry to say this because I am sure a lot of people love her precisely for it, but if she could just tone it down a bit, it would be more bearable... I almost gave up watching this video because of her :(
She’s known for screaming on her streams. She plays a lot of horror games. Her viewers love it and she even has a “redeem” of her own scream which scares her sometimes. She can be extra but she is loved for it. Stands out from others I guess
@@rachelkoch8138 I thought so... That's why I feel so bad for saying it, but she doesn't fit with E and K bc I think most of their viewers prefer much calmer streams... I think I would scream myself, but it makes me so upset listening to someone scream so much. I managed to finish this one and it wasn't as bad as some others after all
