    Josh why would you use a bagger…what about regeneration…putting nitrogen back into your lawn?

    • @bjenkins803

      I collect clipping inside our fenced in area for dogs and pile them up in a compost area for next year's garden.

    • @greenwoodsbushhogging6704

      Healthy lawns don't need it every cut. You can compost it for other areas that could benefit from the clippings.

    • @StoneyRidgeFarmer

      yeppers....mentioned this in the video my friend.....I won't be bagging every time I mow....however for composting ...nothing gets it "hot" like some nitrogen rich grass clippings. Sometimes the yard get's out of hand so about once a month it might be good to bag up some clippings for composting. Some parts of the yard grow like crazy...but we cant overload the lawn with thatch or it will choke out the grass. This is the first time I've bagged up clippings in 8 years....I put clippings in the compost pile, on bare spots and the chicken coop

    Toro took the MyRide system and motion control arm parking brake system off the Residential TimeCutter mower and put it into the Titan for 2024. My opinion is that the changes were probably both cost reductions for them otherwise they would integrate them into their commercial mowers, too. I like the commercial type Myride system on my 2023 Titan which is the adjustable twin rear shock/spring combination along with the front spring; and I like having a separate parking brake just as an additional safety (you inadvertently demonstrated the short coming of the new brake). They did make some positive changes for the 2024 model, though; the front castor fork braces are nice and the convenient motion control arm adjusters are convenient if multiple people use the mower.

      I honestly prefer the brake integrated into the arms....deere has done this for years I'm told

    I get what you say about being tense when you mow, I constantly have to make myself relax when mowing. Also, Toro building the parking brake into the steering bars is just genius! I trailer my mower a lot and hate it when I pull onto the trailer and it starts to roll back before I can grab the brake. It is not safe at all. Toro's design is SO much better. I'm thinking you are going to like this. Be well brother.

    That setup would be awesome for fall cleanup around our farm. Leaves are so thick that mulching doesn’t always work. I’m not a fan of non-greaseable bearings though. Nice thorough video!

    • @StoneyRidgeFarmer

      I'll tell ya....on a caster like this...I prefer non greasable. The Ventrac has greasable casters and they're a total mess....grease popping out the sides and all over the place. The bearings on this should outlast the machine in most cases

  • @2chipped

    That independent suspension is great!
    Personally I prefer to sit upright for visibility and posture, but am sure there is an adjustment.... And to each his own seating arrangement!
    I cut about 1 acre, 10 months per year with a 48" Ariens zt.
    As an adult with no kids around I disable the neutral safety switch, and remove the deflector to spread the clippings.
    To keep from heavy thatch, I mow often and spread clippings into the unmowed grass.
    So it keeps everything away from walkways and buildings.
    Mowing in a circle doesn't make a pretty stripe.
    After repairing fencing for 15 years, you see chain link buried 6" from grass and organic debris turning into soil.... And it builds up rapidly.

    • @StoneyRidgeFarmer

    Hi Stoney Ridge Farmer, hi from Victoria Australia, Cooeee. Nice mower wish I purchased my ride on mower with the catcher on the back. I think the catcher is a great idea looking at your lush green grass it will make great feed for your cows, It would make great compost, and it also makes a great mulch used raw on garden beds and under fruit trees like citrus trees kill aphids and pests saves on using chemicals. Woooo over and out.

      @@StoneyRidgeFarmer once you try one you'll never go back. Cub cadet has a whole line and it's a dream. Being able to one hand with a throttle pedal is amazing. Far less fatiguing when you have a large, complex property. And far superior when you're dealing with hills. Old school 2 bar zero turns are simply old inferior tech now. There's zero downside and tons of upside to the new tech.

    • @billnorblat4047

      Primary benefit is the font wheels are not casters. This is a major benefit for hilly terrain... My property beats the crap out of me every time I mow, hence why I say that if the Steering Wheel Zero Turn also had the suspension that this Toro has, you've got a sale.
