    I don't have the will power to study medicine myself but I want to express my gratitude towards all (future) physicians, whether you save lives or make them just a little bit better. You mean the world to all patients and the people who love them.

    • @le_th_
      @le_th_ 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Agreed. Yet, that is precisely what it takes, so it's not so much amazing as it is requisite, and to be able to do that while delaying gratification as you are seeing many other old friends and associates getting married, buying homes, having families, becoming attendings, all while you are still a resident. You can't have anything less than sheer will, drive, commitment to excellence, and the resiliency to see this through. Impressive, for sure.

    1:30 Brian Y. Hwang- I went to One Station Unit Training (OSUT) with this guy; this was around Christmas time of 2015 @ Fort Benning. All the Drill Sergeants (DS) were astonished, yet perplexed on why the heck he decided to go enlisted as a neurosurgeon. I'm glad to see he's doing okay, and if you're reading this Doc, it's your Korean buddy!!

      As a college senior do yourself a favor and choose an easy major during college if you're 100 percent going into medicine. Medical schools accept an major subject so choose something easy so you have alot of time to focus on your science courses which have their own gpa. If you major in something like quantum chemistry but with a low gpa it won't help much that the major is hard .Good luck bro, wishing you the best 💫.

    • @imawatermelon1439
      @imawatermelon1439 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@daveyjones3016 Wrong, in America they care which major you choose. You need to take 1 year biology, 2 years chemistry, 1 year calculus, 1 year physics and 1 semester physcology. If you get a degree in liberal arts with a 4.0 and 528 mcats you still will not get in. You need to choose a STEM major.

    • @daveyjones3016
      @daveyjones3016 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@imawatermelon1439 That's not true. Yes you need to take the prerequisite (chem, english,physics,ochem,maths,ect) science courses but after that you can major in anything you want. If you do all that as a liberal arts major with perfect numbers you can go anywhere you want.

      are you a senior in highschool or in college? or in med school? It might be a bit hard because I don't really know how it works in the Caribbean its different per country and it might not be possible if your already in med school to this residency . If I am not wrong your going to have to get here and attend apply for a residency here after passing your med school. that's only a guess on my part theirs also probably a licensing exam or something. good luck ;)
