Any feedback? I’m running into the same trouble last night as it’s not blank but completely freeze on the CarPlay that I can’t do anything even try the same to hold the button for 10 sec. Please help
@ALEX LIAO try holding down the power button for 2 min while also putting your foot on the brake. that seemed to work for us and get us past the initial VW logo screen when it was stuck there
So now it’s been what, 6 months since id.3 rolled out (same infotainment software, same platform) yet this thing still feels and behaves like a half-baked beta. Shame.
I would not say it's beta software. I do wish it has more features. As comparison my iPhone still reboot itself now and then and I am still a Apple fan overall.
I also have the same issue with my 2019 Tesla Model 3 Performance. It is not a big deal in ID4 since one can see the speed. In Tesla, you don't even know what speed you are driving since the central console is all you got.
VW has a nasty habit in pushing products on the market, which have not been fully tested/developed yet. Just wait a couple of years and then the EV's from VW will hopefully give less trouble... (and have a lower salesprice!).
Thank you! I got my ID 4 three days ago and this morning my screen was blank. I appreciate the tip!

I did it for 10 sec but its not working
Did you try to check for any error codes via OBDIi, and what is the error code if any?
Some people say that some screen cooling fan may be the issue.!
No I have not.
Thanks!

Unfortunately, this movement does not always work
It may be fixed if you switch the car ignition off and restart

If long pressing and it not working, maybe something else is wrong?

This Happens sometimes on all and every electronic Systems. Even on Tesla ´si which I assume you are refering to.
