Casey, you need to swap out the oil pump and also pan they sell a rear mount conversion oil pan. It has a conversion for it for rear drive. The oil pump is the weak link on the K 24 because the chain that drives the oil pump I think they convert the K 24 pump to a K 20🤔👍🏼😊❤
They only change the pump to be able to rev to 10k. You are right about rear wheel drive oil pan though. The baffling is different so it doesn't oil starve the motor on acceleration. Honda head here.
Hopefully get set a new Fly wheel Out to you fast, they told you in the beginning that it would only be 7 days and it turned in the 7 weeks. Let's keep our fingers crossed it don't happen again
Get the car level on jack stands and then put a level across that flat plate across the top of the transmission side-to-side. That should get the "tilt" of the engine pretty close, I think.
You got more done in 1 video than I did in 2yrs of AE86 Coupe ownership. I’m in the middle of K24 swap too w/W58….no cutting. You earned a sub with this one.
Casey... if you're running solid engine mounts, you don't want a rubber transmission mount as the engine mounts will crack! Cheers. Leigh in Scotland 🏴
This is the first build I am sitting here going. Huh? This Toyota might be the one and only build I haven't been like "HELL YEA HE IS READING BY MIND!! All the trucks and everything. I think the CRV and the Blazer are gonna be my favorites. I can't wait till their done. Also that 2 Dr accord was my 2nd car in white with a Manuel dropped mine with 18" wheels when that size was unheard of. Think mine was a 1990 and I got in 1992. My favorite car for a long time after I had a Maxima don't remember year but mid to later 90's with the rounder low body already but black in and out, with a 5-speed manual, perfect car. When I was done a friend drove it 10+ more years. Accord went to a friend and a couple years and a small accident and then a little while later an accident that wasn't small at all!!!! I grew up in a family of car dealers and dealerships!!!! Ran threw a bunch of fun cars but after I got done getting like I wanted dad would sell it and on to the next one. Good thing is I never made a payment. Bank held title and did a short note. Sold before ran out of time and started on the next one!!!lol. Its still never ending just slowed down. Don't buy as many as you. If I had 5 none would've be finished!!!!
I'm so glad you understand that all things are better when lowered!!..don't get me wrong. I love jacked up mud trucks on TSL Boggers or Thornbirds but i likes to slam stuff the most
Love that green Accord ! Had one back in the mid 2000's that I DE-RICED ! Raised it, put the stock radio and repainted it the same green color. Keep it looking stock outside, slighly lower it and drop in am H22 !!
My old man has been building big block and small block chevys for.....🤔🤔 ever (he's 82 and started when your first car rolled off the assembly line), and when I started racing a Hond, he loved being able to move engine components around without the need of a crane or hoist.
Looking forward to seeing what you do with the Accord. That was my parents go-to for a long time. If I remember correctly, they had a gray 87 LX-i auto 4 door, black/tan 89 LX-i manual liftback coupe, white 91 LX manual 4 door, and 92 burgundy EX manual 4 door.
Nice AE85 you got there. i had an AE88 25 years ago. The LSD and rear discs would be nice. When you get to the springs if you make a notch in the bracket/tab on the strut that hold the brake line you can make it easier to remove the struts in the future since you don't have to disconnected the brake lines to remove the struts. When you lower it a lot you will have contact on the little tab front of the wheelwell to fender. People often put in zip ties through the fender to bumper where you can see then. It's easy and clean to put the zip time on the little flange where you don't see it. I think we both agree clean cars look better.
ATpower has a badass integrated drysump oil system that utilizes the factory oil pump chain, very very compact for a drysump setup. I know it's expensive. However it's cost effective in comparison to conventional external belt drive dry sump systems. I'm excited to see what comes of your motor mount situation pinching the engine, looks like it will be difficult to slide out once unbolted from the solid mount, that ATPower sump may make it slide out easier??? The build is still early and you are putting in work. Mad respect! Good job. I am excited for more!
The seats are out of a Mazda RX8 I need that passenger seat for my RX8. I have the same interior and I’m not too far from you. I’m in St. Louis Missouri I also put a small block Chevy in it
Hey GunzNButter86 from Massachusetts, and I've always wanted to get one of these 2 door 94 Honda and make it all wheel drive either with Audi parts or Subaru parts!!! Or from a Honda vehicle that would not need a bunch of custom fabrication!!!!! So just throwing that idea out there for you to ponder on!!!!!! Cause I don't have the money and tools or garage and time to build it!!!!! But if I could that's what I would do with that Green 2 door 94 Honda you show in this video!!!!!!!
Those accords are some of my favorites. Especially the 2 door models. If you’re taking suggestions I think a J series would be awesome in it. I’d assume it has an F series at the moment, those are cool in their own regards.
K Twenty Four! Love this engine but the oil leaks that can happen back by the VTEC solenoid are real... been fighting one in that area for 3 weeks! Every time I fix one a new one pops up thats worse!
You should of used a ratcheting style box wrench to get those seat bolts out. I bought a Craftsman set from Lowes fairly inexpensive and it's become the most convenient tool making removing bolts like that a quick job..
I put my engine in from the bottom sub frame off put the engine engine on dolly and lift the car up with your big hoist out side it’s way faster for next time. Great job I love your content I own old Chevys a86 and a crx and a full tip blazer I thought I was the only one who had that great taste
This will allow more space for carbies and better exhausts. This is what they do here in japan. Straight upright is not recommended/ motor power vs twist i think. Or the top is so high 🤷♂️ but common practice is tilted - u can still change that.
Idk what yall got goin on either but I am loving it!!!! My first car was a 90 4 door sedan accord. Love the coupes. Idk what you will do with it but I can't wait too see lol
Mazda seats, Honda engine/Nissan trans/Toyota body. Somehow got to work in some Subaru, Mitsubishi, Kia, and Hyundai parts as well for the whole set. Got to collect them all!
Many of the OE electronics in Toyotas and Nissans were Mitsubishi, he can do the Scooby Doo part by swapping in an R-200 (IRS) rearend from a Datsun or Nissan car, those are actually made by Fuji Heavy Industries (who makes Subaru!)
Just out of curiosity, why does the power plant and trans need to be mated for the installation? Not saying that would make it magically fit but you’d have to cut significantly less. Just my .02 cents I guess.
Because it would be almost impossible to line them up if you had to make the mounts separate. If it already has mounts (this doesn’t) then you can put them in separately 👍
Those are actually rx8 seats they are cool and you should honestly try to resell them because people like to put them in rx7s because of the little rotary logo in the head rest
Channel is aweome. Love the content!!! Never built a car but plannned to for mannny years and i shall. Love the I don't know what kinda hot rod shop im running around here bit 😊😅 an aweome one if you ask me.

the K twenty-four is sitting in there nicely considering how tall it is. plenty of room for forced induction fun, although I would run ITB's and all motor personally

Tf works ftw. Jimmy oakes has a pretty informative video on it he did the same swap with his 86 but i believe he used a different transmission.
probably want to use the k24 pump with solid mounts, it's going to buzz like crazy with the k20 pump. k24 pump will be fine for standard redline...
They only change the pump to be able to rev to 10k. You are right about rear wheel drive oil pan though. The baffling is different so it doesn't oil starve the motor on acceleration. Honda head here.

call it the stir fry because it has ingrediencies rom so many Japanese manufacturers, love the builds keep em comin!!
cb7 was my first car too! and now i too am crazy about body swapping things. small world. i would love to see it on the channel tho!!
Officially my favorite youtuber right now because you have vision and don't give a fu$% and it kinda works 😂
The car just looks like it opens itself to a convertible conversation. It could make a cool video.
I want to see more of this and the 2 door accord, turbo accord sounds awesome
Your builds r sickkkk from the old trucks to the hotwheels cars, you do it all luv your videos 🔥🔥💯💯
K Twenty Four! Love this engine but the oil leaks that can happen back by the VTEC solenoid are real... been fighting one in that area for 3 weeks! Every time I fix one a new one pops up thats worse!
Love the new accord! Cant wait for that build!!!
They make awd kits for the hondas now. That green one would be a sick awd k24 turbo build ahah thing would be quick😊
When you tease Richard makes my day
Same. lol
You should of used a ratcheting style box wrench to get those seat bolts out. I bought a Craftsman set from Lowes fairly inexpensive and it's become the most convenient tool making removing bolts like that a quick job..
I have a set! Damn thing wouldn’t fit under it on the driverside
@@CaseysCustoms used them when I put Corbeau seats in my Mustang, sat so low and in I couldn't get a ratchet in, those box wrenches saved the day
Next project i think must be an RX8 with flat6 Porsche engine :-) this is so freaking creative, i like it!
I put my engine in from the bottom sub frame off put the engine engine on dolly and lift the car up with your big hoist out side it’s way faster for next time. Great job I love your content I own old Chevys a86 and a crx and a full tip blazer I thought I was the only one who had that great taste
A guy I know has a K20 swapped Corolla. He used a S2000 manifold with a K20 flange for his exhaust. Just had to spread the pipes a bit.
This will allow more space for carbies and better exhausts. This is what they do here in japan. Straight upright is not recommended/ motor power vs twist i think. Or the top is so high 🤷♂️ but common practice is tilted - u can still change that.
Love the accord! I had a 4dr but my favorite was the 88/89 body style with the flip up headlights. Love the ae86 of course too!
Idk what yall got goin on either but I am loving it!!!! My first car was a 90 4 door sedan accord. Love the coupes. Idk what you will do with it but I can't wait too see lol
This on is cool
My fav is 1984 Toyota celica gets coupe. No hatchback or convert
22re 5 speed IRS the seats were so ahead with so many adjustments
I had an 85 celica GT
In 2005 ish I had a 89 Accord with the flip lights
I'm loving the honda content. So excited to see the final product
Casey.. I love you. This build is awesome!
❤️
I wonder I'd you cut the flange off the intake manifold then weld the intake 180 degrees and weld flange back on.
Mazda seats, Honda engine/Nissan trans/Toyota body. Somehow got to work in some Subaru, Mitsubishi, Kia, and Hyundai parts as well for the whole set. Got to collect them all!

Would you do the inishal d spray job on the car ?
I enjoy your style. Downside, I watched 3 adds that all was about libido😀🤷🏽♂️. Ironically you needed longer bolts for spacers
🤣🤣🤣
😬😬😬
Just out of curiosity, why does the power plant and trans need to be mated for the installation? Not saying that would make it magically fit but you’d have to cut significantly less. Just my .02 cents I guess.

Common sense says it’s almost impossible to mate the two in the car 🤦♂️
Casey i think its time for some shop upgrades lol. Cabinets, lights, maybe a mini split a/c
It wouldn't be a Casey's custom build without some cutting along the way. Looks like you can shoe horn it in there. Thanks for another great video.
Those are actually rx8 seats they are cool and you should honestly try to resell them because people like to put them in rx7s because of the little rotary logo in the head rest

Great to see progress on the 86.
That adapter and clutch look to be a bit Clap.
That thing's so cool. I wonder how long it'll be before you put like an LS or 454 in the Accord!
That Honda 2 door is beautiful
I don't know what's better, pop up head lights, or a k24
yes
Jspfab makes a full billet mount kit for the k24 to ae86. Little expensive but it’s a nice kit
You need to call those cars "Lil' Rippers" 😁👍
a turbo build on the factory f22 would be hella og
Hondas are super reliable. My 2005 crv is still running at 310,000 miles on it!
Thanx tips 😂🤦♂️ 310k isn’t even that many miles

Fix the rust & do whatever body work it needs. Those untouched 90s honda's are holding their value
That will be a very fun car to drive lol especially if u boost it

What about the trans adapter with no bolt holes on one side
Hit up bendpak for a set of quick jack for the home garage!!!!
No offense to you, and also the reason I watch this channel I don't think any of your cars are going to end up at SEMA. You're the real deal man

2. I wish I were your neighbor so I could help you build all of these vehicles!! I’d only ask for 1 or 2 builds of my own. 😂😂😂😂
What would be a really awesome build is to put a flathead v8 in a newer car example a Nissan 240 or a Datsun z sort of a mad scientist build
STOKED to see a CB7 on the channel
Take my suggestion/ the honda engine should be on an angle, not straight up and down. Tilt it to the left about 20• degrees
Awesome Video!!!
So...... is it a Toyonda now or a Honyota? Lol. It's looking good whatever it is. I'm sure it'll be a fun ride when it's done.

If you want to relieve the early 2000s car life, you need to put a ridiculous car stereo in that Accord as well
Ey Casey what up man. What’s that song called that you use that goes “overrated overrated” and it’s lofi?
You should do an homage to the Inital D car with white on the paint, but pearl white
And Casey's Customs tofu shop in Kanji lol

4 wheel drive would have been harder to implement, but even better! Have a look at an Audi?
