I am so pissed they didn't finish this season. They were planning to show how Ahsoka and many other characters got through Order 66, making it easier to understand Rebels.
True it doesnt tell us about rex or commander cody, i think rex knew about the brain chip and removed it before order 66 but i am unaware. Also in rebels we see Asoka grown up we have no clue of what happened for the rest of her time period.
It says Rex and his squad were exiled by the empire after the clone wars, most likely for disobeying orders. Im surprised they didnt just execute them.
+slothninjas sorry I'm late on this but Commander Cody took part in the Jedi purge of protocol 66. If you watch revenge of the Sith you see Cody ordering his men too shoot down obi-wan.
This series did what the prequels did not: Portrayed Anakin correctly, showing how and why he started heading toward the dark side while still showing him as a good and likable guy, and explained the politics in an interesting manner that actually made sense. This show took the ideas of the prequels and executed them properly, untangling the story they were trying to tell and forming it into something coherent and enjoyable to watch.
It was like if George Lucas was sort of trying to fix his mistakes through other creators. He's a very good idea man, he just can't convey them well into his scripts or directing.

The heroic character of Anakin in TCW doesn't mesh at all with the whiny, entitled, petulant brat that got on the other Jedis' nerves in the films, and everything about this series is so much more wonderfully thought-out and detailed than the vague mess we were presented with in the movies. I would love to see the creative team behind this series make their own version of the prequels - same basic events, but with better writing and characterization and some other minor alterations to help connect them with the show.

Again, books and video games shouldn't take canonical priority in a film/television franchise.
JOLLY GAMER Disney doesn't have the decency to comply at letting LucasArts finish these seasons and then have everyone watch their show, which I must say wouldn't even have at least the moving camera like before.
They made this season look absolutely fantastic, AND IT WAS. Personally, season 5 is my favourite, but season 6 definitely had some of the best action scenes and a lot of amazing character moments for many characters who weren't usually in the spotlight (like Yoda and Fives). Definitely the second best season, if not the best. A cut short, yet fantastic end to an amazing series that, to this day remains my favourite form of Star Wars media, even above the movies, video games, novels, and comics. I know not many would agree on all of that, but I love this series and I wanna spread the word!

The fact they revealed how the show would end with Anakin and Obi-Wan heading off to save Palpetine, while Ahsoka went and faced off with Maul makes me so sad, it would have been awesome to see the start of Revenge of The Sith through her eyes, and how she survived Order 66
That Yoda arc seems even more epic then I could have imagined. While not an entire season or the intended ending for the series, this trailer has me hyped for whats left of the Clone Wars for now.
Damn you Disney! Just look how awesome this show is. And this is only the first half of Season 6. Stories for Season 8 had already been written before it got cancelled! And Filoni said he was aiming for 200 episodes. Now we're stuck at 121. Just imagine how awesome the 200th episode would have been if Season 6 is already this good!

Was it just me, or did that clip imply that Yoda had informed the Council (including Obi-wan) about hearing Qui-gon from beyond the grave? Wouldn't that contradict Episode 3 where Obi-wan is surprised to hear about Yoda being contacted by Qui-gon?

The show had been canceled and Season 7 was years away when they first announced this. The show got cancelled after Season 5, but they had already basically finished these episodes, so they went ahead and released them as the Season 6 "Lost Episodes" a few years later.

Okay well Korriban is still he homeworld of the Sith Species right? I mean, that was already established years ago. Maybe Morriband is just the new retconned homeworld of the Sith order. Rebels is a good show. Not as good as this, but it's still good. Kanan is a great character, someone who should be expanded upon outside The Clone Wars

Before Season 7, this was the final season. In all honesty, back in 2014, I remember distinctively thinking that Season 5 was a far more satisfying ending than this season, and looking at the chronology of The Clone Wars on Disney+ and in canonical order, The Lost Missions - Season 6 - is a bit of an odd ball in the overall structure of The Clone Wars chronology.
they are unfinished episodes, it wasnt the "correct ending" as there originally planned to be more episodes either part 2's of seen episodes in season 6 or more after that which would have involved ahsoka a lot more and a more conclusive ending

Man I was so hoping that we'd get to find out what happens to Ahsoka. I really wish they had been able to wrap up more of the plot points than they did. Though the Yoda plot in the last few episodes was amazing.
There already is an explanation for it in the EU. This will probably go and change all that though. Don't understand why they can't use what has already been written.
***** There were actually about 150 orders, covering all kinds of circumstances. Order 65 i think dealt with taking out the Supreme Chancellor if he went against the Republic. Order 66 dealt with the Jedi going against the Republic. The big difference was that only 66 could be issued by one man, the SC, complete on his own. The whole set of orders was trained, literally since almost birth, into every clone trooper. Some clones actually didn't follow the order, they had formed differing opinions on the Republics command and went against them in the end.

They were trained to obey all 150 orders if given sense the day they came into the world. The reason i find about their explanation bullshit is cause Their were many clones who disobeyed the order and saved some Jedi. One was a squad of republic commandos which made a little apperance in TCW series. So it could have been some kind of chip in tier brain or disiease that made them do it. And it was said Cody was in tears after order 66 back on kamino. And if you noticed in the moves The clone missed his target Obi_wan. and they all new he could have survvived that fall. Hmm, the fact Obi-wan says "This time" implies they've taken him on before, but they've taken him on on more than one occasion anyway, so maybe Obi-wan is referring to Episode 2 or one of the other fights they've had or maybe he's now talking about this fight in particular? :)

Why didn't they use Korriban? That's been established as the Sith homewolrd in nearly everything! The books, the comics and the video games, including the massive online game Star Wars: The Old Republic. Look, just because some people (but not me) consider the EU non-canon doesn't mean you can't use stuff from it for the films and shows. Korriban would have fitted perfectly into the main Star Wars cannon, though despite the fact the planet was never shown or mentioned in the films, it always felt like it was to me.
PindaZwerver Well on the other hand, the EU did state that the Sith did have many established planets of their order. But Korriban was the planet where the Sith Order itself first began. I really don't like it when they change certain things to the EU, and before anyone say's ''it ain't canon'', well most of what the EU has given Star Wars has been pretty good and fits rather well in the universe, I am a fan of it.

Was it just me, or did that clip imply that Yoda had informed the Council (including Obi-wan) about hearing Qui-gon from beyond the grave? Wouldn't that contradict Episode 3 where Obi-wan is surprised to hear about Yoda being contacted by Qui-gon?
Tom Baker That's probably a tie in there... Or the council could just think it was Yoda's false sense as in an earlier clip, the council held him then he escaped. He then probably found everything out, but kept it to himself.

The show had been canceled and Season 7 was years away when they first announced this. The show got cancelled after Season 5, but they had already basically finished these episodes, so they went ahead and released them as the Season 6 "Lost Episodes" a few years later.

Okay well Korriban is still he homeworld of the Sith Species right? I mean, that was already established years ago. Maybe Morriband is just the new retconned homeworld of the Sith order. But still, that's stupid. I love Star Wars with a passion, but I have to admit, it has the craziest canon, with it changing every year. I thought Dave Filoni would know the Korriban was the Sith Order homeworld as well. Apparently he's a big Star Wars fan as well, yet he wants to shit on the franchise by changing something significant? Not having it!

This was my favorite show, I'm quite disappointed in Disney, just saw the trailer for rebels. I'm sad about it being on Disney because they have the pg restriction and will not be about to show the full Star Wars universe like the clone wars did :/

Words alone cannot describe how I feel about "The Lost Missions". I've seen every SWTCW episode thus far and I think what awaits us will be some of the best SW material made. I will be there March 7th for the proper send-off to one of my all time favorite TV shows. May the Force be with you all.
Man I never had issues with George Lucas before (I enjoyed the prequels) but selling Star Wars to Disney (and therefore having this show cancelled made me a bit upset.) Now all we have is Aladdin in space... ugh.

Rebels is a good show. Not as good as this, but it's still good. Kanan is a great character, someone who should be expanded upon outside The Clone Wars
Rebels did outgrow its awkward Aladdin in space phase by the end of season one though.

Before Season 7, this was the final season. In all honesty, back in 2014, I remember distinctively thinking that Season 5 was a far more satisfying ending than this season, and looking at the chronology of The Clone Wars on Disney+ and in canonical order, The Lost Missions - Season 6 - is a bit of an odd ball in the overall structure of The Clone Wars chronology.
they are unfinished episodes, it wasnt the "correct ending" as there originally planned to be more episodes either part 2's of seen episodes in season 6 or more after that which would have involved ahsoka a lot more and a more conclusive ending

There already is an explanation for it in the EU. This will probably go and change all that though. Don't understand why they can't use what has already been written.

There were actually about 150 orders, covering all kinds of circumstances. Order 65 i think dealt with taking out the Supreme Chancellor if he went against the Republic. Order 66 dealt with the Jedi going against the Republic. The big difference was that only 66 could be issued by one man, the SC, complete on his own. The whole set of orders was trained, literally since almost birth, into every clone trooper. Some clones actually didn't follow the order, they had formed differing opinions on the Republics command and went against them in the end.
***** You really need to learn the lore more. Cause it was explained before. And it was simple. Soldiers will always follow any order they are given. It's thier job. They were trained to obey all 150 orders if given sense the day they came into the world. The reason i find about their explanation bullshit is cause Their were many clones who disobeyed the order and saved some Jedi. One was a squad of republic commandos which made a little apperance in TCW series. So it could have been some kind of chip in tier brain or disiease that made them do it. And it was said Cody was in tears after order 66 back on kamino. And if you noticed in the moves The clone missed his target Obi_wan. and they all new he could have survvived that fall. They know him very well. Also It explains things in Star wars Battlefront 2. With the 501st

Hmm, the fact Obi-wan says "This time" implies they've taken him on before, but they've taken him on on more than one occasion anyway, so maybe Obi-wan is referring to Episode 2 or one of the other fights they've had or maybe he's now talking about this fight in particular? :)

Why didn't they use Korriban? That's been established as the Sith homewolrd in nearly everything! The books, the comics and the video games, including the massive online game Star Wars: The Old Republic. Look, just because some people (but not me) consider the EU non-canon doesn't mean you can't use stuff from it for the films and shows. Korriban would have fitted perfectly into the main Star Wars cannon, though despite the fact the planet was never shown or mentioned in the films, it always felt like it was to me.
I'm sure it was either mispronounced in the trailer or an explanation will be given in the episode itself.
PindaZwerver Well on the other hand, the EU did state that the Sith did have many established planets of their order. But Korriban was the planet where the Sith Order itself first began. I really don't like it when they change certain things to the EU, and before anyone say's ''it ain't canon'', well most of what the EU has given Star Wars has been pretty good and fits rather well in the universe, I am a fan of it.
