Very cool videos! I like seeing videos like these. One suggestion though. When you replace Mercury Vapor, Sodom Base Metal Halide, and Halogen bulbs or even high-wattage incandescent light bulbs. You should always wear clean rubber gloves with grips on them so the light bulb doesn't slip out of your hands. The reason for the clean rubber gloves is that the oil on your hands and fingers can shorten the bulb's life dramatically and could even cause the light bulb to explode. Otherwise, you are doing a great job! Thanks for all your hard work fixing those lights.
@@crazywarp36 no they are not, just because white LEDs matches scotopic vision and use all the colour spectrum doesn't mean they are bad. Besides this video is 4 years old and what you said is conspiracy, you can use flickering as your "solid base" though get a good bulb and no flickering.
@@professionalineverything True. I finnally found some good LED bulbs that look exactly like incandescent and are glass. Its easy to avoid the cheap flickering/eye hurting LED's.

It’s also recommended that when you change the bulb that you replace the igniter as well. I do it on mine!

You can climb the pole and unclip these then open them and pull the circuit board out! There was loads missing from a local train station in the 90s😆
