Seeing as there is a chain drive connected to the rear wheel and air flow vents and exhaust below, I feel pretty sure it is a piston engine mounted upside down instead of a claimed jet engine that powers this steel horse.
I don't see any jet fire out of the bike so how the burning of the engine's happen, and if the bike was really use jet engine, is it dangerous to the motor user behind? is it really use jet engine?
I wish they hadda spent as much money on the Styling of this Bike as as they did the engine and frame. It looks cheap Im sure its not, but not too impressed with the looks and decals, Not alot of thought went into these features
Jay Leno has one, just was on his show. 350 hp & 475 lb ft of torque and only 470 lbs. CRAZY right? Top speed of 237. Now, that said his is all carbon fiber bodywork and wheels.... how it's so light still. Idk if that was just an option or what but this bike has alloy wheels. Definitely not liking the paint/seat. Quality CF shouldn't be hid under paint IMO
It could defiantly go faster in theory with them numbers, but the difference here and in say a Jet Dragster is they use a conventional jet engine to push them around and just roll on the tires, no power actually going to the tire to the ground. Here they specifically use a helicopter's jet engine because it drives a shaft. They have very cleverly fabricated up an adapter to covert that to chain drive like any other bike. Therefore it's limited on top speed more too it's gearing then power.
That's the owner of the company lol who else lookin like that would be riding that thing? But seriously tho. Neat idea but wouldn't it Burn your leg if you accidently put them too far back?
Having worked on jets while in the Navy, this sound brings back a lot of memories.
The Allison 250 has such a unique sound.
