Hmm interesting... I've been keeping a very casual eye out to experiment with a pair of split toe derbies, and these look stunning in the Utah calf. I listened to Tom's interview with Jesper on the Shoegazing podcast, and he seems to be a lovely man doing things right. I love that the lasts are English, beautifully made in Spain with high-grade french leather... Just top notch! Keep it up!

You have a great channel. I can’t believe you don’t have thousands more subscribers at this point. Just keep doing what you are doing. We all appreciate it.

I have 8 pair, 2 split toes, 2 Oxfords, a derby and a loafer, 2 Chukka boots . 3 are suede ( a Chukka, loafer and SpTD) , the sweet spot is their Spit Toes and the best fit for me, the round and elegant round lasts are fine just a little relaxed fit ( I prefer a closer fit around my ankles but just a change in attitude when I wear them). They are the king of business/ smart casual I believe ( no black ) and that is exactly where the market is, and you are right, the leather is really great and the owner is very hands on at the factory he uses so as long as that continues the quality is really good. Highly recommend.

I hear you with the pinky toe problem. I went out in my Cheaney plain toe derbies today; about a 4 mile walk. Man, blisters on both pinkies. They are 10 F (UK) but I think I've put a bit of weight on over the last lockdown year and my foot might be a little 'fuller'. Sons of Henrey look fab; I'd certainly consider them. x

I own a pair of Sons of Henrey George Split Toe Derby in Walnut Museum calf . Amazing shoes . They pretty much fit true to size . They wear lovely . Looking forward to make another purchase soon . I think they probably can stand next to crockett and jones quality . The last they use is very similar to their 348 last . I would not size down , maybe a size up if planning to wear them with thick socks . Greetings from England 🇬🇧

Great content through videos. I have 3 pairs from SOH, 2 George STD in Utah and museum same as yours, and a derby (Frank) in Museum calf. I feel it’s the best value proposition shoes with basics being spot on. With little care leather ages beautifully. Their new collection should be available soon...

The Sons of Henry split toe especially in Utah reminds me of the Edward Green Dover! At a few feet away I would of thought it would be pretty difficult to distinguish them from each other! Particularly in the darker colours!

I do have a brown Utah Calf Captoe from them. Great shoe, and I have had no problem with the break in. I will be a returning customer

Hi, who do you think is better; Lof and Tung or SOH? Both in a similar price bracket and offer Utah Calf?

Sons of Henrey seems to be. The upper leathers seem to be similar or have similar options but the linings and inner workings of the shoes seem a step up in SOH.

Cool shoes. Is their factory in Europe (Spain)? Or in China?
