As information - on the start its just written about the pet quest - but also mediah mainquest need to be done ONCE on another character - so for new player you need to do once the mediah quest

So as a new player i choose the winter quest and complete it, they only way i can get access to winter quest is if i do the entire original quest till i finsih mediah for the pet quest?

This guide isn't correct in some ways.
The only way you can do simplified is when a season server is active. I just tried the steps above in this video when season wasn't active and I received NO option for simplified upon reaching Alustin

I've already stated that.
"Applies only for seasonal characters".
It's not about seasonal server either, it has to be a seasonal character -since you can create other characters while season server is active-.
