Is anyone else watching these just to watch these two interact?
Some say he once got invited up to Remi’s room to ‘talk about keyboards’ and he talked keyboards all night. Some say he has a Bosendorfer with 89 keys. All we know is...he’s called Jack.

I lurve how Haitch is a whole word, not just a letter of the alphabet. She's right about the modelling. The thing is the Rolands feel like instruments. Expressive, full of character and variety.
I have played guitar for 27years... Jack makes me wonder if I have wasted my time and should have taken to the piano instead. He sounds so good.

I've got an HP704 coming next week. Spent some time with it in the store and it really does feel (and sound) fantastic. Looks great too. I also tested the HP702 (also nice, but the older PHA-4 keys don't feel as good as the PHA-50 keybed in the HP704), and LX705 (same PHA-50 keybed, but it has the newer PureAcoustic piano modeling…I couldn't hear a significant difference, and I also found the music stand more fiddly to use than the HP704). I definitely recommend checking out the HP704 (but don't buy anything without trying it in person).
Did you try to compare it with HP-605? I've been the satisfied owner for the last couple of years now. Just wondering how much better is the 704...
Digital pianos are amazing, but,, it’s always chords in the mid range that sound poor, ( on all makes ) Really useful vids by keyboard Andertons
Comparing the 704 to yamaha clp and kawai ca, which one do you prefer in an acoustic and action matters?

Bought a 704 a few months ago - love it but need some guidance on the best software/sound settings! Where’s good to find more support?
Whatever happened to HP605? Discontinued? Wasn't it much more powerful than this HP704?
Most importantly I can place my cuppa tea on it at a perfect height!
Great review. Can I ask can you plug this into a sound system for the piano to come through at the same time as singing in the mic through the sound system speakers? And is this still the latest model in the mid range section?

your segments always entertaining. As a Roland KR 5000 owner since dinosaurs roamed the earth, I applaud Roland for educational programs, but despite my product loyalty, they were late to other innovations, such that many of us adapted pedals and computer drives as work arounds. I think Roland is getting up to speed but the issues of keeping so-called legacy intruments up to date has been abandoned to a planned obsolescence philosophy . Lucky most of us learned piano taught by killer teachers, while also learning computer tech. BTW the upper registers on your keyboards still need improvement. Roland/Boss is a great company and they accept well deserved accolades as well as constructive critiques.
One question please, i bought my Roland Piano HP603, i was playing through my headset, and felt warm so i took off my jacket and suddenly i heared very weird noise through the head set, quickly i realized that it happened because of the static electricity from the jacket, i switch off the piano. I put it on again, and i couldnt say wheather there is a damage has happened, am worrying a lot in general, and am wondering if really (this happening) my winter jacket could really damage the piano because of the static electricity?

@@BurakCalik CA78. kind of a habbit now coz i had weird feelings with the keys, but both are very good, go with the one you like the most. If you're budget is not too high instantly take the Roland

You can test escapement by playing trills.
Some misinformation here. The PHA-50 keys (which are also in the RD-2000, btw) aren't the ones with the greater key depth to allow playing higher up on the keys. That's a feature of the newer Hybrid Grand keybed, which is only in the LX706 and LX708.

Ugly and metallic "computerized" sound of a piano. I do not recommend approaching Roland's pianos. Yamaha and Kawai are much more authentic and beautiful in terms of piano sound
Roland keybeds are better. But yeah Yamaha sounds better

They're plastic keys just as in the PHA-4.
Plastic core with thin wood plates glued at the sides of the keys.
PHA-50 is indeed better than PHA-4 but that doesn't change the fact that calling them "wooden keys" is simply not true.
Or would you call a house made of massive concrete walls a wooden house just because someone glued thin plywood plates on the outer walls?
