- EPISODE 22 | Today, we are attempting the most highly requested Mario Maker challenge. We are taking on the 1000 expert no-skip challenge....minus 900 levels lol. We are doing the DGR version called, the 'Hunt for 100' which is the same version as many of the Mario Maker greats are doing, just in a style more fitting to my abilities! I hope you will join me on this long and challenge journey!

@@masonwheeler6536 I mean, Carl did it for ONE section of his latest evil level, sorta, but this is more a DGR thing that he seems to be very bad at this. His internal timer and all that. Which honestly makes me look forward to whether or not he tore up any of his clothing when he played/plays Carl's new "12 days" level.

There was a troll level from the MM1 days where i think is the most broken I ever saw him. I think it took him 6 hours and he had to stop playing and go for a run to calm down lol it was brutal.

Edit: oh god, I haven't even finished that part yet but it somehow gets worse...and by "it" I mean his playing. Entertaining, but *damn* was he tilted.

If you thought that claw level was bad, you should've seen the level that ended Panga's 2000 Expert No Skip run. Triple shell jump 3x in a row.

Dave, congrats on making it 1/8 of the way to actually achieving 1000 levels completed.
In The Dark Knight, everyone assumed Alfred was referring to Joker when he mentions, "Some people just want to watch the world burn". This is the wrong assumption, he was clearly referring to this level creator.

@@daniell5740 it’s not total shit: 90% of the fucks are completely on him cause he didn’t realize what he had to take into account in the timing, the level is just raw timing and nothing else. The only jank is the VERY last part where the claws kept refraining the goomba and it not getting grabbed when it ran off the plate form one time, but everything else was on DGR

Actually, the level just needs one thing, then it'll be perfect for Geek: the N64 slider music.
For Carl to enjoy it, switch it to desert night theme. Yes, with the direction switching wind.
The concept of a claw level isn't bad, but this particular one wasn't executed perfectly. It seems to rely on luck a bit and it didn't have any checkpoints when that really could've helped. Still, Dave didn't take the right approach to that last part and did terribly because of that. He didn't stay still at that last part when if he did, he would've completed the level much sooner I think.

Its episodes like this where i legit feel sorry for him, nobody in their right mind could have blamed him if he had skipped this one but Dave is a man of his word, 100 expert levels, no skipping, so he fights through it.

I know DGR’s internal timer is poor, but man you whined and raged a lot over that goomba level. It looked fun. You needed some peace that passeth all understanding. 😉
Yea... just a little bit more patience and he would have completed the goomba & claws level much sooner and with much less stress.
His technique was also really rough. In many instances he was so far away from the claw’s dropping point over the note block, and instead of slowly getting closer, he’d just go full sprint from a distance, and combine that with his internal timer, he had no chance lol
I honestly love the concept of the crane carrying enemies and dropping them. My god your timing was so bad on them though. I saw right away that very last one you needed to drop it three times at the very end before it actually dropped them. I love your hunt for 100 don't stop especially love that you use yu yu hakusho music for the outro one of my favorite shows.
I have occasionally used this concept, but I think it would have been better to split the level

He was just so frustrated that he wasn't really thinking. He was clearly going at the wrong times. But I get the frustration.
I was fine with the level up until they force you to do the longest of the puzzles with no checkpoint whatsoever running the risk of timing out and starting all over like Dave did. Before that I do think it's mostly just a mix of claws being janky (IE the game's fault) and Dave not having the proper timing for them to let go of whatever they're holding onto XD
@@beatnik09 yeah, 100% he straight up from the first moment didn't seem to try and watch the timing, especially when he looked at the later parts and was just like this is stupid. For someone so willing to throw themselves time after time at a troll level to learn the tricks placed, he just didn't seem to show any at all when the trick is only simple timing. The whole point of claws is swing momentum for the character or objects, and he constantly was trying to wait till the momentum is gone for those final two stages. the amount of time he wasted waiting to place a wrong facing galumba on top the the pillars is kind of saddening.
Yeah. It was janky, but it wasn't really "bad".

I put the swing puzzle level on 2x speed and it was still boring lol. And DGR can usually always make a level interesting.
Besides the finale part of the final puzzle in that level; DGR is just shit at it, it’s literally just “move towards the claw at the right time”, nothing else until the final part where it gets janky with the 4 claws regranting the goomba.
