    you are absolutely correct. Skating clears your mind and you only focus on the present. It's almost like meditation .I feel so much better after a session. On side note that bowl is awesome. I'm almost recovered from injury and look forward to starting over again.

      @@Steves_SkateXplosion I should be able to skate again within a week depending on the weather. I'm going to practice some ollies in my driveway and hopefully return to the skatepark to work on carving. Being away is making me think about changing my style and setup. I want a smaller deck for all around use.

    Yeah skating does clear your mind I’m 50 and took a 35 yr break. So glad I got back into it. Gonna build a 6ft half pipe in my yard. You should definitely try the dragon wheels or the nano cubic wheels 93a. I have a pair of 56mm and they’re great they carry so much speed in bowls and are soft enough for oldies like me.

    • @Steves_SkateXplosion
      @Steves_SkateXplosion  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Dude you sound just like me. 35 years! OMG. I’ve gotta get a set of 93a right away. All I hear is great things. I’ll go dragon wheels probably.

    • @blacksheepserigraphie9209

      You should definitely get the dragons 93a. The nano cubic’s are the same formula they’re just offset so the wheel covers the nut and it gives you more truck surface to lock in and grind. It’s an amazing wheel.

  • @SabcatPrinting
    @SabcatPrinting 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Rerouting in “reality” (the present) when excessively ruminating is deffinately a good thing to do. Negative thoughts can have physical effects… strees, to much cortisol/adrenalin… exercise burns those chems off too!
    Did you find the 95 wheels better for carving around the bowl?

    • @Steves_SkateXplosion
      @Steves_SkateXplosion  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The 95 were better than 99 at least at that place because that bowl is kinda rough. Not street rough but almost sidewalk level. Honestly I had some 92s out there recently and they felt incredible and it actually seemed faster to me.

    • @SabcatPrinting
      @SabcatPrinting 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      They might well be. Every surface has an optimum hardness for it.
      Spitfire do a slippy wheel at 93a I think it is and plenty of testers are prefering them to the powels.
      Softer wheels maybe start to roll a smidgen slower due to hysteresis.
      That’s the energy required for the flex that occurs in a wheels surface, but most of it is returned as the surface unflexes during rolling.
      Tiny Bumps slow a softer wheel less. A harder wheel turns more of a bumps displacement into upward movement (vibration), costing momentum.
      Softer wheels can feel squidgy though.
      Also too soft increases traction thus friction causing energy loss.
      But you can go soft and it’s no good for many slides.
      I am keen to try the new tech.
      Those wheels looked faster to me too though.
      Keep on enjoying that bowl!

    • @Steves_SkateXplosion
      @Steves_SkateXplosion  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Right right, dude you’re a bloody scientist. Love it. I feel like 92-95 is going to be my perfect hardness window. Like 8.5-8.8 is my deck size range.
