Alan Watts was an incredible philosopher and speaker who had a unique way of exploring Eastern philosophy and spirituality. His captivating lectures and books have inspired countless people around the world.
Alan Watts was born in England in 1915 and developed a deep interest in Eastern philosophy from a young age. He studied Buddhism, Taoism, and Hinduism, and became a renowned interpreter of these philosophies for Western audiences. His ability to bridge the gap between Eastern and Western thought made him a popular figure in the counterculture movement of the 1960s.
One of the central themes in Watts' teachings was the concept of "the self." He explored the idea that our sense of self is an illusion, and that we are all interconnected with the universe. He encouraged people to embrace the present moment and find joy in the simple act of being alive.
Watts had a way of delivering profound insights with a sense of humor and playfulness. He believed that life should be approached with a sense of wonder and curiosity, and that we should not take ourselves too seriously. His lectures often included anecdotes, stories, and metaphors that helped illustrate his points in an engaging and relatable way.
In addition to his lectures, Watts wrote numerous books on topics such as Zen Buddhism, Taoism, and the nature of consciousness. Some of his most well-known works include "The Wisdom of Insecurity," "The Book: On the Taboo Against Knowing Who You Are," and "The Way of Zen."
Alan Watts passed away in 1973, but his teachings continue to resonate with people today. His ability to distill complex philosophical concepts into accessible and relatable ideas has made him a beloved figure in the world of spirituality and philosophy.

I had the same awakening a few years ago. From prior military and having the words "Freedom", "independance" "liberty" take on new meaning. Keep these phrases and words in your front mind and you will hear them said, over and over and over, everywhere. We are gaslit to believe we are living those words, when in fact, its just the opposite. People working two jobs and still can't make ends meet. I feel ya.

America is full of paradoxes. Something ,1984 highlights - the propaganda machine is called ministry of truth; torture tactics ministry of love etc etc. 1984 coined doublethink long before it became ubiquitous amongst tiktokkers, though terming it gaslighting or cognitive dissonance. America being the land of the free is the exact same principle. Termed the land of the free because it is the most unfree place in the world.

I've heard and seen it all. I watched my husband claim he was the devil and eat a magazine. Watch him lie and steal. And both of us were stone cold sober. I've fed the hungry the lazy and the poor. I had people try to make me feel guilty over actions that were not mine. Even tried to make me feel guilty for what I knew was right. I wash my hands of it all. As far as I'm concerned any more my journey was through social media sites and books was all waste. Because there will always be a coward or liar looking for a scapegoat. I have no guilt. I don't seek sympathy. Or have regret. What's done is done. And I'm tired of hearing whining from people that can't or don't want to admit to their own faults or sins or whatever they want to call it. And money well our governments have tried to make us pay for the freedom of our souls. And almost impossible to feed and sustain our bodies. Journey over I can't wait to leave this world. I spend my days hoping for the end. Truth. Every turn your going to take on your journey no matter if you walk the straight line. It's all a contradiction. None will agree. I've been called a people pleaser but what if the things I did for people pleased me? Then your labeled as an enabler. I'm done. Too many peoples perceptions have changed every belief system even if they practice the same. I just want left in peace and for some damn reason people can't except that. I'm told I haven't done or been enough. People tell lies and spread rumors to keep from that. Stay away from me and out of my life to everyone that has been apart of that negative impact on me.

    The truth about work:
    Simple...
We created industries that NEED to be healthy enough to hand out millions as bonuses to their top!
Therefor, we make products less durable than we could make them. As when we'd make products as durable as we could, then there would be an over-production if that industry kept producing as much as it needs to be able to keep handing out millions on bonuses.
    The result:
We need to work more than needed, so we can buy more than we need because of the less durable products, so to keep the industries producing more than needed because of the less durable products, in order to keep the industries healthy enough to hand out millions in bonuses.
THE ENVIRONMENT ISN'T BEING WASTED FOR OUR NEEDS, BUT FOR THOSE WHO BENEFIT FROM THIS RIDICULOUS WASTE OF ENERGY AND RESOURCES!!!

People should br laughing and smiling no matter what is going on around the globe. And rest assured it Has Been Rotten for many many many decades I'm sure in many or most places.
