    i have the same one Rs5 2024 comp.. contemplating adding the 034 motorsport downpipes for louder growls, i also notice a huge difference on the compeition package.. this car feels 480-500 HP easy

    Great video! I've been defending the RS5 from your content 😂. People are like dude the RS5 sucks, it's soft, etc - I'm like nah the Competition seems to have fixed it all. And I send them your videos haha.

    That's super interesting. I've got a stage 1 tune on my 2018 (ecu + tcu) and the numbers are almost exactly what you're getting if I adjust them for a Dynojet dyno. Feels like a new car with the tune so I'm getting a few more years of life out of it. I've never kept a car this long but I just can't find anything else that makes a more appealing daily driver right now.

      7 months. Not terribly long. The stars aligned that my local dealer had an allocation available right at the time I was inquiring. I currently have a ‘19 Q5 and ‘21 Q7. About a year ago test drove an RS5 for the first time and I knew I needed it.

    What would they have done to this vehicle to make it put more power out aside from a slightly different tune? Wouldn't that be easily acheivable and surpassable by tuning previous years? I love that Audi has released Competition models but i'm struggling to find justification for the price tags.

  • @BIGGELATO
    @BIGGELATO 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    If it shows 433hp and a true 20% powertrain loss (not more or less), the crank would actually be 542HP. (542HP - 20% = 433HP)

  • @Matt-tt4cu

    General question for you: I’m looking to pick up an RS5 as my new daily (TRX is my current ride, and I want it to be a toy only). I’m looking at 2021-23. I’m going to stage 2/E85 it on day one - is the competition package actually worth it for someone that is gonna tune it right away? I’m going to change the wheels no matter what, so that’s no factor. I drive about 18k a year, so do you think I’ll like the adaptive suspension on the regular RS5 w/dynamic? Or are the coilovers THAT much “better?” If so, how do you think they’ll hold up to the elements in the Midwest? Just trying to decide if dropping significantly more $$ on a used 2023 will be worth it for what I intend to do

    • @alfredquerubin
      @alfredquerubin ปีที่แล้ว +3

      if tuning is your goal, then go with a 21 or 22. Not sure if you can tune the 23 and 24 models yet. I came from a 23 RS5 Coupe to a 24 RS5 Sportback competition, and I can attest that the suspension is much more refined and overall a much nimbler and quicker vehicle. IMO you don't really need a tune, it's already a fast car.

      @Matt-tt4cu ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@alfredquerubin any concerns about the coilover’s longevity in the snow/salt? Like will they seize up like even high quality aftermarket ones do? Or did Audi do something to prevent that?

      @@Matt-tt4cu I've personally watched reviews on the RS4/5 Comp and they mentioned that Audi tested the coilovers in winter weather to ensure it could hold up in the cold. I believe it was a Hagerty RS4 Competition video on TH-cam that mentioned it.

  • @josephinefoy1674
    @josephinefoy1674 ปีที่แล้ว

    You would have to get a regular rs5 on the dyno to compare. All dynos read differently, and also 20% drivetrain loss is a lot, not sure how true that is. I get its awd but still 20% is a lot.

      As for an RS6, I have a friend who has 1/4 tested his RS6 and got very similar results to my RS5 comp so I'm not sure. His RS6 runs 11.6 @118mph and my RS5 comp runs 11.5 @118.43mph. The RS5 is significantly lighter, but the RS6 has more power.

    My full weight 034 stage 2 2017 S4 93 tune does 3.3 to 60 and 11.3@121 mph and its got "476 HP crank" * 034 figures. There is no way that dyno figure you got was realistic.

    • @rag_rs5
      @rag_rs5  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Firstly, those are very impressive numbers for a stage 2 93 tune! Congratz. I was never able to go that fast with my stage 2 B9 S5 on 93. I could come close to 11.4 or an 11.5 on E85 but not on 93.
      Secondly, different dynos read horsepower differently. 034 uses a mustang Dyno, while I used a Dynojet in this video. Based on your trap speed and how close our numbers are, I would say you car is more than likely over 500 crank on a Dynojet. You can checkout "NoBoostLeaks" dyno TH-cam video of his Stage 2 S5. He managed to make ~450whp on a dyno with his car.
      Hope this clears things up!

      I have an 2025 RS5 Sportback Competition and I got a 3.34 0-60 on my first and only launch so far. I had a 2021 Daytona Gray RS5 Sportback and the differece is quite remarkable. The Audi group I'm apart of just had a cruise. The run includes winding roads and straightaways. I was able to test my stock RS5 competition against 2 RS5 Sportbacks that are lightly modded (2023 and a 2024 RS5 Sportback). The results were insane and it wasnt even close. The speed in which I pulled away from them, was pretty impressive. They also couldn't corners like I could, which allowed me to able to rapidly create separation. So from my experience I agree 100% with the statements made in the original post
