Gohar Mumtaz is a pop rock trend setter. He created a band called Jal meaning water.
A lot of artists had joined and left his band and have been successful.
So he is doing a little bit of word play here.
Implying the imprint of his band is all over the music industry of PK.
I love the way it was shot.
The mega star is right in the center of the stage and everyone is playing his song but isn't shown once through out the first half, keeping the focus on the instrument players.
It's a brilliant treat for eyes and ears

Now imagine growing up listening to a song which you still listen "Adat" by Jal the band, and then listen this tribute! Really wish you felt the nostalgia. Had goosebumps when I saw this.
Would like to see you react to the original song!

You're correct. I'm from the neighbouring country and this song was the soul of all college bands back in 2005-2010 era. When this came out, it touched us so much. I so so wish Goher and Farhan and Shazi can be back as one nunit. Musical genius of Goher with the soul of Farhan's voice - its magic \m/

Jal means watar in urdu but its also the name of band. Like they were saying we are every where.

That instrument is not Sitar but Rubab...Also "JAL" is the name of the band who actually released this song "Aadat" probably one of the most iconic and hit song (definitely most nostalgic) in Pakistan in recent history whose instrumental is covered here by the singer Gohar Mumtaz is actually the guy who composed it and still in the band while original lead vocalist Atif Aslam left the band, this is the song which made Atif Aslam who is known as the current best singer in South Asia loved across both India and Pakistan. JAL made some of the best Hits both listing on top in Pakistan/India.

  • @hellosigh
    @hellosigh 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

Jal means something, I think others my have answered it. But yeah it's also the name of the band whose lead guitarist is the man at the end, Gohar Mumtaz. This is an instrumental of the band's early 2000s song "Aadat" which is what gave them commercial success. It's a Pakistani old school classic and watching the Aadat original music videos today takes us all back to the good days! Aadat basically means Habit/being used to something

Goher was Composer and writer along with Atif Aslam, and the song Adat originally sung by Atif Aslam who is the soul of this song! Whenever you're giving credit for Adat song, you have to to give proper credit!

And the flute tune wasn't from My heart will go" it was part of Aadat, and the tune of both song completely different! You Should listen the original song Aadat(Na jane kabse) those hign notes of Atif, you gonna have some freaking time when you'll listen Aadat by Atif Aslam

JAL is the name of the band that came up with, perhaps the most famous, song of South Asia in the last two decades. That song is called Aadat. "Har Jaga hai Jal" basically translates into "Everywhere is JAL", which was a short track in their debut album. It is a pretty nice song, and you should give it a listen. Love your reaction by the way.

Jal i think is water.Instruments were Rubab not Sitar.Sitar seen next and then Sarangi with the fiddle

  • @fsalhin99

"Jal" is the name of their band who created this masterpiece back in 2004(i think) Aatif Aslam was part of their band. Jal means water in Hindi. 'Aadat' song was used in 2 bollywood movies and that skyrocketed their popularity but also resulted in breaking up of their band(i guess) because their lead singer started singing in Indian bollywood and even today is one of the best/most famous singers in the Indian sub-continent

In the early 2000s, I used to have a crush, and I remember eagerly watching the entire show on B4U music, hoping that someone would request to play "Jal." Those memories take me down memory lane and remind me of the happiest times of my life. Gauhar Mumtaz ❤❤❤

Goher Mumtaz was the lead guitarist of the band "Jal". "Jal" means water in Hindi/Urdu. Jal the band was basically one of the generational, signature bands of the Subcontinent for kids in the early 2000s, the way Green Day or Maroon 5 was in the North America. Their music was my first foray into Indian/Pakistani fusion rock n roll.
The lead singer of Jal the band was Atif Aslam, whose performance you reacted to in "Tajdar-e-Haram". He sung the original for this composition (th-cam.com/video/ChTRhMXp96s/w-d-xo.html).
This song, and that era of music, define the tastes of many people around the Subcontinent, whether from India or Pakistan, or other countries. I can't help but get lost in old memories whenever I listen to the refrain for this. God bless you, man, for bringing me back, and for the appreciation.

Urdu is a tremendously rich language, Jal could mean a lot of things depending on the context, it could mean water or tears. I am going with tears in this context since it's a sad song, Har Jagah Hai Jal could mean tears everywhere. Water everywhere is too literal for me and doesn't really make much sense in relation to the rest of the song.

Actually, it was sang at a time when the band was at its peak and people were going crazy about it. Also in the song “har jaga ha jal “ you can actually hear lyrics of other popular songs from jal. So basically it’s trying to emphasize of Jal’s success
