I looked at this plane before buying my Bristell. It's a very nice plane. The front opening canopy is nice until you have to taxi in warm weather for more than a few minutes. It's like being in a microwave oven. They heat up almost instantly. With a rear opening canopy you can taxi with it open and bring in tons of fresh air. Nice review. 👍
Hi Douglas. Definitely can get hot in warm weather. I love the canopy for visibility but I would definitely add some sort of protection for the sun. This airplane doesn’t have it so that the owner can choose whatever they prefer but I definitely wanted one. Where do you keep your bird?
Good tip on the type of canopy -vs- ability to open during taxi. Expecting to buy my first plane within 6 months and am glad I've started the research early.
@@AviatorZone Sorry...2 years later...I just saw this now. I'm unfortunately up in Illinois.
I put a Kroger Sun Shade in my Bristell. What an amazing difference it has made. Almost like having air conditioning...but not quite. lol.
@@edaycock3505 Are you specifically looking for a Light Sport? I did much research before I bought. If I can help in any way, let's talk.
@@dh-flies My first "must" is the fuel injected Rotax engine line (912iS is high on the list) for economy, and preferably something I can get certified for flight into IMC (6,500 hr ATP/CFI/CFII/A&P) and absolutely love night flying and IFR. I'd also be blown away with a bush-plane that could also be flown in IMC (KitFox perhaps?)
1:50 I was thinking about the hot sun/ultra violet exposure prior to watching the passenger trying to cool off..
Hi john yes it can get hot, but you can put a tint or shade. These don’t have it because they are for sale so the customer can do as they wish.
This makes me want to go out for a flight! Great piece on the Viper! 🙌🏻🙌🏻
I’m glad! We need to fly soon!
Could you teach the Sport Pilot in this plane?
I’m in the Miami area and would be interested
Hi Fernando please email me at felipe@aviator.zone
Good thing it has a parachute
would love to get a copy of that check list:) just coulnt find one online.
Basically a Sabre no? Looks like a great airplane - watch that taxi speed there lol
Not sure what you mean by Sabre? The plane is really nice but you definitely don’t want to sit on the taxi way for 40 min trying to takeoff. Our local airport is crazy busy and you can spend some time on the ground and cause some overheat.
Nice when are you gonna take me out for a spin lol 🤔🤔
Is it true that this plane can be had for under 100k new?
Hi Dan not sure what the price is now. But that seems pretty low.
Neat airplane. What was your climb out rate on a hot day?
We were doing about 700fpm with 10 gallons and no baggage.
300 pounds
What is the total hour cost? (non rental).
Looks like a Roko/Sportcruiser/Bristell/PiperSport...
Are they all from the same designer?
Same country... not sure if they are the same designer!
@@AviatorZone not a same country, viper is slovak and the rest is czech. But we are pretty close as a nations.
Like. Nice review!
Where are making this plane
Hi Sebastian this plane is make in Slovakia l believe.
@@AviatorZone Ok thanks
You would pretty well be trapped inside should this aeroplane flip over on the ground ..which I saw an example of this happening at my local airfield recently. .
Hi John yes that could happen but a lot of planes are like this...Extras, Cirrus, Diamonds, Pipers, F-22s, SR-71 hahaha
Does this need license
Hi Urwin yes this requires a license.
