Im a mexican too and for some reason i’ve always loved the arabic language and middle eastern culture which in a way led me convert to Islam. Anyways, I can relate to her because i too was very ignorant about Islam and yet im still learning. 😏When i converted, almost a year ago, i was just told by other Muslims to not do this or that for religious reasons but they never explained to me why. Then i started taking some Islamic courses which helped me alot. Alhamdulilah! So pls dont be so judgemental about mexicans. We were taught differently. Instead, teach us, and InshAllah some of those manners will stick to us even without converting to Islam at that moment. 😉 plus we will thank u for it! 😃. And this shaking the hand issue, look back in the day the handshake was only between mans... No next woman would shake a mans hand... It's more respectful not to, your showing her what she's worth nowadays society brings you down like that especially women.. They show you on the TV if you don't look beautiful as the woman in the advert wearing that make up or that dress, then you are not beautiful it makes u feel low and in the end you be someone who you are not...you get low self esteem wanting to look a certain way... For what? You must ask yourself...

Can someone explain why we shouldn't shake women's hands and I do all the time ? It never was mentioned in the quran or the hadiths as far as I know
luka rse there is a hadith on it but i was actually wondering if it's exclusive to Men. The prophet saw mentioned a man touching a non-mehram women in the hadith.
Ma’qil ibn Yassaar said: the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “For one of you to be stabbed in the head with an iron needle is better for him than that he should touch a woman who is not permissible for him.”
Amaan Baig prophet pbuh might meant by touching might be like sexual touching but shaking her hand with no bad intensions I think it's alright
