The year is 2022. COVID is over, and you just invited some people come to your apartment and hangout. You and your best buddies, plus some new friends, got a few shots and turned on your PlayStation 5. After a few hours of gameplay, you guys felt hungry, pause the game, went back to the Home Screen, and ordering foods on Uber Eats, while this music is playing at the background.
Man I remember when I got the console and turned it on the first time. Lettting the games download for hours while listening to this, to me it was like wow....I finally got one and got very very lucky to enjoy this. Even 3 months later and I still love hearing this everytime I'm in the home screen. Hopefully everyone gets to enjoy this masterpiece of a song soon enough
This makes you feel so confident turning the system on. "Its like sony Says, welcome to paradise", my Gamerloin lol. But for real this shit makes you think your sitting in a kings throne seat.
Same with me and the PS5. Yeah, those lockdowns are simply everywhere and you'll need to be lucky to get such console. I've been calling a retailer a few weeks ago and I've been told, that the PS5 probably won't actually be up for sale until 2021, so yeah. But it's better to wait anyway. Who knows which issues the next gens may hold? And until february, or march many issues could be fixed, so it's definitely worth the wait
Its 1 AM. its a dark night, and youre watching TV. You suddenly feel like playing ps5. Thats fine, as its hooked up to the TV. You take the Power cord, plug it into the console and the nearby outlet and push the power button. The console does its magic, delivering a snappy bootup animation and booting the system. The console prompts you to push the PS button on the controller, and you realize. The controller is put in a drawer, but which one? You scramble around, opening every drawer in your room, but when you find it, you hear that the console is already playing its music. You put it away, and decide its better to just listen to the music. Its 5 AM. You are still sitting there, seemingly in a trance state. You realize you wanted to play, but you can see the darkness outside start to retreat, the sun is slowly rising. You want to sleep, so you decide to power down the console. It beeps agressively, seemingly not wanting you to turn it off. However, the console is shutting down. The music retreats and stops. The console shuts down, the display output stops, and a message pops up, saying that theres no signal. However, almost like it knows, the source automatically changes to the other HDMI port, occupied by a TV stick. The TV starts blasting early morning news, and you realize. Its 5:30 in the morning. You scurry off to the bathroom, to do last-minute business. You return, unplug the console and see the light go out, like someone unplugging life support. You lower the TV volume, set a proper channel for sleeping, and doze off. Its 1 PM. You wake up. You quickly plug in the ps5 and power it on. It Boots, but something is off. Or is it? The boot screen says that "NetBoot.exe" corrupted. But you ignore it, get the controller, power it on and connect it. 2 hours later, the system beeps and shuts down. Upon booting up, it says that ThermalController timed out. You ignore it and keep going. Soon again, it terminates the game, saying that possible CPU corruption has been detected. You restart, but the boot screen is wierd. Its dark, the sun rays are gone, and the glitter is red? Before you can think, the console makes a sound, and the screen is fine again. A message appears, saying that theres a problem with the BIOS. You reboot it for its necessary rebuild, and it restarts. A message appears, saying that the thermal conditions have worsened due to "inproper thermal radiator capacity" You reboot it to get past it, and the system is breaking. Icons are corrupting, the music is low pitched and creepy, and the boot screen has a red background. The system crashes, and reboots into a recovery mode. It says "The system has entered recovery mode due to critical thermal conditions and high corruption." You engage it and ignore the safety warnings. It does fine, but the BIOS crashes when it rebuilds ThermalController. The system says it has entered a fatal error. You boot it up, but its the normal Boot screen. Normal music and all. You push everything, but the system says "Insert a Sony PS5 Recovery Disc to continue." You dont have the disc. But youre satisfied by the music. You keep this up for 2 days, but then the system does a loud bang. It shuts off. You reboot it, and the screen is a rainbow of colors, with no signs of booting up, but a mess of sounds You reboot again, and now the screens red and silent. You reboot again, another bang sounds, and the screen is black. But the TV isnt saying no signal. Its clearly detecting the system trying to do SOMETHING, but it cant process anything. You throw it out, buy a new one and youre fine.
The one thing that made XBOX One's homepage so dull, was the lack of ambient music, in my opinion. I've actually gotten so relaxed playing PS4 that I fell asleep to the sounds, making up refreshed.
On consoles, I pay way to much attention to the startup, menu, and most importantly, the menu music/ambience. I have to say the ps5 is one of the best when it comes to the startup, menu and menu music.
