PCN PACTV Community News Holmes Dam Removal Ceremony Plymouth
Governor Baker along with state and local officials, held a ceremony at The Holmes Dam which has been removed to allow thousands of herring and other fish to freely migrate up Town Brook. Officials from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration as well as the United States Fish and Wildlife Service were in attendance as well. These groups along with the Town of Plymouth have been working on this project since the fall of 2018. This dam is the largest and one of the last parts to this project which is vital to the regional ecosystem. PCN was there to bring you this story.
