One of the things I take from this, is the incredible waste of (temporary?) orange carpet that I assume gets chucked away afterwards. Anyhoo. Apart from that, being stranded in Corfu, as you do, I’m living the show vicariously through this/you. So; thank you.

The carpet is part of the NEC and is used for numerous shows , where would the wastage be ?

@@paulmasters2022 every time I've seen a timelapse of a show start to end set up it builds onto bare concrete. Actually a Lego Live show we attended a couple of weeks before the Oct moho show 4 or 5 years ago was on bare concrete in some of the same halls at that far end. I guess they hadn't paid for carpeting! You reckon the tiles are uplifted, sorted, checked for defects, cleaned (?) and stored for the next show with a different layout? If they do that, then of course that would be much better environmentally, especially as it has to be seriously tough polypropylene that we're all walking over!

@@CaraVanOlogywithBecky use to be involved in a model railway show at NEC years ago and the carpeting was provided then , as you say it was requested and paid for , same as Earl’s Court the flooring can be provided at an additional cost 👍

Hi Becky sadly this is as close as I’m going to get to the Show, have ticket for Saturday but due to another commitment I can’t miss I don’t want to get stuck on M6 on way home and literally be late for The Party. Thanks for sharing.
