wish Tomorrow and Tomorrow was on here cause as soon as that section about 'our long-gone kin' hits and the chorus rise absolutely slay me- but the rest on here yh great songs. Especially Flow
Flow help me so much when I lost my dad. This song will always makes me cry. Just a song of hope, that everything one day will be okay and that we have to cherish everything we shared, every memories we collected.
My Best friends favorite song was Rise. I was playing her favorite songs from FFXIV in her room when she was in a coma. The doc said she'd never wake up and would die that night. While I was playing the song She sat up and spoke a few words to me and held my hand and then passed back out and died. I keep her playing list of songs and her last recorded phone message with me still.
oh, glad i'm not the only one who cries alone in my room under a blanket listening to FFXIV. Warriors of Light need a moment of vulnerability (not by failing mechs), we can't just keep forging ahead, right?
I remember the exact moment close in the distance started playing And i remember the tears i shed as i made my way to the end of my journey Never before has a game captured me so utterly into its setting And it will forever hold a special place in my heart ❤️
Even reading the replies in the chat is bringing those raw emotions back to well up my eyes with tears. This game is something truly special, and the music makes it stick with us forever
I have never connected so deeply with a single game more in my life, and the music is what makes that connection stick. It brings all the memories of what we've done flooding back, all the hurt, and all the good. I love the music of this game on a deep level and that'll never change, it'll only continue to get better as years keep passing us by
When I saw the thumbnail my first thought was Close in the Distance, and boy I'm glad it's the first and the last one on the list. That song got me to stop doing anything in Ultima Thule and just stand there in silence.
It dead ass paralyzed me for three days on Endwalkers release. I literally stood there at the entrance and cheered on the newcomers for three entire days on my tertiary monitor. Close in the Distance hits as hard as Ultima Thule itself as a concept.
@Chrisfragger1 they all aren’t copyrighted. What I’ve found is that most songs composed by Soken (the album will tell you the composer) are fine. But the songs composed by Nobuo Uematsu (like Dragonsong) will get flagged. Also, for whatever reason the entire Danwtrail album is copyrighted so I’ve been avoiding those songs. Square actually put out guidelines on their music, and really the only thing they ask is that you show ffxiv gameplay for it to be fair use. Also, when you upload a video on TH-cam, you can run a copyright test before you make the video public. So I’ll usually upload a video, check the copy right. And then cut out any songs that get flagged. I’ve made plenty of these videos to sort of know which get flagged, and which are safe. 👍
Everyone being, “I was strong until Never Let It Go” while I hear it and hit the skip button. Sands of Blood (Ahm Arang Night) and Iroha would be in my playlist.
Unfortunately that song, Dragonsong, and Tomorrow Tomorrow are all created by Nobuo Uematsu. And his songs on TH-cam are copywrited. Only Soken made songs are fair use.
the second i heard close in the distance in the launch trailer i knew there were going to be tears, the sound of sorrow from that one character: "a world frEE OF SORROW" when they were kinda swallowing saliva and holding back tears i just broke down completely, this is the perfect game
I originally added it but that song is copywrited! So youtube pulled the original video. So did Dragonsong and Answers which were originally in the vid.
Orchestral to the edge wouldve been even more cry worthy but if this was via your actual room playlist i can see why you didnt have it given how much of a pain in the ass obtaining that one is
Surprised "together and together" isn't on here. When that played during the cut scenes after killing emet..... It was a fight to hold back lol. Same for dragon song after heavensward
Sorry, but this first version of Close in the Distance doesn't make me cry at all. That's likely because this is how it was played at Fan Fest so it makes me so happy I was able to attend and see the Primals play this live. I would say this version has a more positive feel to it overall as well because of the beginning compared to the in-game version.
You know, Oblivion is one of my favourite boss tracks for FFXIV but... I really don't like the Never Let It Go version. So many of these playlists include it, but its decision to have spoken word lyrics in the chorus ruins it for me. Probably an unpopular opinion! Every other track on this is pure energy for my sad little braincells and i deeply understand that Au Ra's emotional state.
first song and i already broke into tears, i wasnt even sad at first- it has such a deep impact after finishing the game's story.
This playlist is a personal attack against me and my experience with this game.
10/10

I love the introduction in the Primals' version of Close in the Distance so much 😭
FFXIV has installed levers onto my feelings, and all it takes is for FFXIV music to clumsily bump into them...

I cannot listen to close the distance without crying.

I remember the first time hearing Close in the Distance as one by one, we lost our Scion allies. I cried like I was losing members of my own family

If I may say so myself I feel like end walker was a love letter to all players new and old

The song I get chased by dragons while gripping my pickaxe to
For every one bad memory I have with the community, there are six good ones. Thank you, FFXIV community~ 💙
phenomenal, honorable mention for me is dynamis 100%
100% agree! There’s so many amazing beautiful songs. I’ll eventually make a pt2
I would like to add Dragonsong as an honorable mention also.
@@Alpacalips How do you get these songs up without them being instantly copyrighted by SE?

I never thought Eternal Wind would make me feel sad
ah this is what I've needed
Close in the Distance 😢😢😢
No Answers??
That song had me in tears
Unfortunately that song, Dragonsong, and Tomorrow Tomorrow are all created by Nobuo Uematsu. And his songs on TH-cam are copywrited. Only Soken made songs are fair use.
@@Alpacalips Tomorrow and Tomorrow is also Soken made. Uematsu didn't involve in it.
@@Alpacalips ahhh fair enough
Notice at least 3 of the songs feature Jason Charles Miller. His voice carries so much feeling which in turn makes you feel.
Did you see the primals concert in JP? He sang footfalls with Amanda Achen and it was AMAZING. I'd post it, but youtube will take it down.
damn I cried so much during MSQ..... 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
someon broke my heart in FFXIV
HW, Shb and EW are my three favorite FFXIV OSTs
the second i heard close in the distance in the launch trailer i knew there were going to be tears, the sound of sorrow from that one character: "a world frEE OF SORROW" when they were kinda swallowing saliva and holding back tears i just broke down completely, this is the perfect game
hello friend! (I read every comment :p )
@@Alpacalips oh awesome!! hiya love the video, added it to my sad songs playlist :)
Great playlist! For me there is only missing Tomorrow and Tomorrow
I originally added it but that song is copywrited! So youtube pulled the original video. So did Dragonsong and Answers which were originally in the vid.
Why you making me cry at 8am XD
Well done, but we need another playlist with Terncliff Theme and Nier raid ost in it :)
I'm actually surprised Dragonsong isn't in here. That one kills me each time >.>
Eternal Wind still a classical since 1990
Orchestral to the edge wouldve been even more cry worthy but if this was via your actual room playlist i can see why you didnt have it given how much of a pain in the ass obtaining that one is
I really loved this mix!!!
It’s the chocobo pajamas top, Makai Moon Guide's Quartertights (shorts), and Chocobo Pajama Slippers
@@Alpacalips ooooo thank you so muchh!
Emotional Damage!

Is the sitting position unique to the Au Ra? I want this for my character.
Thank you or this playlist. I love it.
I believe so
i was so strong... until "Never let it go" started playing :c
so many tears
nooooo, a sad lizardo! You shall be sent a cat in a box to make you smile again!

Not me already having like 10/14 of these songs already on my sad playlist LOL
number 2 is more chill. its tempests theme.
I dont know. BUt to the edge is not a song to cry. Its a song to dance xD
HEY FFXIV PLAYER WHY ARE YOU HURTING YOURSELF, WHY ARE YOU HURTING YOURSELF 😢
...how can you have this playlist and NOT have Answers?
Erm, how do you cry to To the Edge?
Its the context of the song! Everything Elidibus went through!
is it just me or are most of tracks from shadowbringers? 😅
윱 감동의 도가니..아...아니.. 감성팔이 라며 광분의 사건의 대한민국 남조선에서 쉐쉐 일어난 그래도 여전한 감동의 노래 🎵 다 ㅎㅎ

Oh no, not again.

Seriously though if Never Let It Go had done that chorus differently I'd be able to cry for Ysayle significantly more while it played.
Heck, her story was one of the best parts of early XIV for me.
fk...
Man imagine how much cooler this playlist would be if it had beloved XIV characters in the background and not just some dime-a-dozen WoL.
Omg i hate the first song sooo much i need to put mount music on in ultima thule just to not hear koji foxes voice!
