Freak Like Me was originally by Adina Howard in 1995. It was good then but when I heard this back 2002 I was blown away with the mashup with Gary Numan Are Friends Electric.
Sugababes were awesome during this era, I loved their style and their vocal range! They had a uniqueness about them similar to Spice Girls and were not your typical girlband who all look the same! They had an edge to them.

It is a mashup. They used a sample from Gary Numans Are Friends Electric and Freak Like Me by Adina Howard. There is nothing original in this song and I doubt they made any money from it by the time the royalties come out for each artist they used.
I like this a lot but then I would as I am an ancient Gary Numan fan who bought the original 45 rpm vinyl single in 1979 at the age of 14. I was what they used to call a Numanoid. Gary Numan has even gone on record as saying that he thought that this is actually better than his original which is very gracious of him. I certainly would not go that far because "are friends electric" in my opinion is one of the greatest records of all time.
this has brought back a very old memory for me. I remember it being on the radio one day and my father (who is a massive gary numan fan) was aghast that they'd used his music, lol. Before that, though, he hadn't listened to Numan in years and I'm fairly certain this is what made him start listening to him again. I actually think this is pretty good though
People were saying the same thing back then about the 80s, and in the 80s they were saying it about the 60s, and in the 60s - well, it's been going on for ages, put it that way.
Sugababes are amazing. I enjoyed listening them when i was growing up. I've loved Keisha all my life and since she left the sugababes, I've always wanted her to return to the sugababes.
The sugababes were complete shit and the song was complete shit nothing about it was classic, everyone's been a sugababe at one point... not everyone has been Gary Numan his version was the far superior one. Check it up!
