@@lukeisbadlolol anything even slightly steep can make you do a stoppie if you lay into your front brake or don’t know how to ride steep although I’m sure it’s fun
I'm always amazed at how tiny some of those gaps in between the trees look, but somehow you manage to travel straight through them. Great riding as always!
I agree 100%, your go pro angles were always prime, but just that little extra bike from this camera in there really makes it feel like I’m on the bike. Keep ‘em coming!
I love your videos Dave. I Watch you and Dale Stone a lot. You’ve asked for feedback on cameras in the past. I’m a total and utter noob about cameras - I really have no idea. But I have to say that I prefer the look of Dales picture. Yours looks a little more like a fishbowl lens or something. I still love your videos. I’m only commenting because I remember you inviting opinions.
I gotta be honest, I’m not keen on the insta360 footage. I think it definitely captures steepness a little better, but at the expense of some extreme distortion around the edges.
Great trail and always fun watching you guys, but the insta360 doesn't do a good job versus the gopro. Much more blury sections with the insta camera.. with that said,so fun seeing you guys having fun and sharing it with us😅
The insta360 is rad, but now even flat, peddley sections look like they are downhill... And it makes your bars look narrow. (Ignore me, I'm in a mood or something)
I love Rupert! My favorite trail when I visited Squamish! And it seems like you could’ve made a sideways sad face with the black dots, although it would’ve been three eyes. Great video as always, thanks for the content!
Are you running the C1 or B1 air spring on the lyrik? People claim the B1 is just a bit suppler while the C1 offers more support midstroke. Have you tried both?
what you are prefer? gopro or insta360 x3? because I can't decide which action camera to buy, I'm thinking about dji osmo 3 or insta x3. but am scare abou footage quality from x3 becasue i saw many videos with really bad quality from mtb but your footage looks really nice from bike
Not sure if you’ve ever seen it, but there’s this one video where some oldschool trials guy also jumps most of the rock on a full suspension mountain bicycle. Pretty sick clip!! The guy deserves some props for that move, most definitely! If I can remember his name I’ll come back and update this post. 👍🏽
I started MTB’ing in 1991 when it was either DH or XC. XC ruled the Southeast so that’s what I know the most and how I ride. Over the years I’ve shifted to more All-Trail, but watching guys ride Enduro is always impressive to me. I wish I could ride 20% of what they ride.
dale n dave are both running sponsored by 5dev and running their ultra fancy one piece machined titanium stem, since it’s one piece of Ti there isn’t a faceplate so no red option!
The viewpoint honestly is great 👍 although I swear I thought you were going to clip your hand on a tree at least 50 times. Anyone else notice that wood berm like feature towards the end that was used as a photo shoot location for a two page Norco ad that's been in ALL the recent MTB mags? Could be wrong but I think it's an ad for the Fluid

I love how whenever you hear Dave laugh, you know he just almost died. 😂
exactly - although I keep hearing Justin Timberlake for some reason... 🤔
So true!! I'm going "Gaaaah!" He's laughing. 😂

You can only imagine how steep those trails are
Or you could go ride them and figure it out!
STEEP.
They’re steep but not as steep as the footage makes it out to be. These cameras are known for exaggerating angles due to the fish lens.
@@pubplays368 Yeahhh no. If someone can do a stoppie at that speed down a slab its super steep

Dave, you were right, it was better to drop that!
If you decide to sell some merch, "EVERYTHING is a drop" should be on a t-shirt.
This has become my favorite MTB channel for sure!
Keep up the quality content!
I love this. I was particularly impressed @2:43 when the guy ahead of you rode down that hill on his front wheel! Amazing!
Essentially 14 minutes of riding down one GIMUNGOUS Planet Earth Bone!!
Terrific footage!!
I'm just constantly astounded these bikes actually make it out of these trails intact!
Man, I’m a huge fan of the insta360 after watching this. So much view ahead and of the bike. Seems so natural
The wider field of view is great. I love being able to see more of the bike and trail.
I agree 100%, your go pro angles were always prime, but just that little extra bike from this camera in there really makes it feel like I’m on the bike. Keep ‘em coming!
My favorite part was being able to watch the different perspectives from the same ride with VanCan, Dale Stone, and your footage. Cool stuff!
I honestly can't conceivably imagine doing any of this and laughing about it afterwards.
The Remy Metailler move.
But he's pre-hop before the receiver
5:50 Holy hell that was sick!
love what u do so much u are an inspiration
Your camera setup is perfect. It is a great angle and very clear.
Damn that looks steep AF!! Usually cameras don't justify how steep trails actually are, so this must be wicked steep!

Dave the insta360 gives an insane sense of speed and steepness. This ride looked crazy👍
Yep! The Insta360 angle is way more immersive for me.
I'm getting used to the new camera but jesus that looked scary! Awesome riding.
That notadrop was was so clean Dyson stopped selling vacuums!

Big fan of yours, but not a fan of 360 cams. Please bring back the crispy GoPro footage!
Your last unbroken sesh was epic, some nice lines & fast tight turns all at a clip... good job
Your bikes are amazing to withstand so much, I’m loving every exciting moment!
most modern mountain bikes can
Wow, these trails are pure madness!
That was proper exciting. It's like the shoot drops are aimed at the tree's.
That forest from 3:20 on is incredible. And that bit at 9:00 looks familiar from a Remi video. Nasty steep and off camber.
I love Rupert! My favorite trail when I visited Squamish! And it seems like you could’ve made a sideways sad face with the black dots, although it would’ve been three eyes. Great video as always, thanks for the content!
The angle of the trees at 5:36😮

Love to hear the laughter!
And then there's Remy Metailler who jumped the entire rock

You guys are good. Wish I could ride like that. Unfortunate I started riding at 45 years of age I'm 68 now. But you guys are awsome.
Awesome ride, love that camera setup too 🔥
As an albertan since it's february I keep wondering where the snow is lol
Such an amazing place. Is it normal that there's no snow at this time?
Ripping!!! Nice Bling on the Bars. ☔🔥⚙
Tell us more about the audio, how do you get rid of the wind noise from the front mics? A video of your whole set up would be nice 👍🏼
Check out the saved stories on my Instagram profile. I just did a quick video showing that.
Normal people’s brain: “OMG THAT DRIP IS LIKE 15 FEET” Mtb brains: “damn that’s like 3 inches i*d say maybe 4 on a good day”
The Terrain there looks awesome I definitely don't have anything like this around me
Crazy show
Sick video brotha! May I ask what shock you are running on your Commencal? Thanks!
Which model of Commencal do you use?

Dude in front of you doing front wheelies down a rock face... that is pretty nuts.
Awesome trail, where is this?
I finally give you an sub, I could watch these videos all day long when work is a bit lame and theres nothing to do - keep it up :D
Damn this looks super fun as a group!
You're living my childhood dream - thank you for giving me a glimpse of what I cannot do
All the rock spines and rollers are so sick!!!

He made it look so smooth...
Super skills, amazing trails!
Hi Dave amazing video as always! Do you mind sharing your X3 settings in this video? I always suffer with motion blur when in the woods..
Awesome trail, mate. What is the tire combo you are using? Cheers!
Any notice Dales new bike?? Also what happened to the red stem face??

Dunno where you live bro but the trails you ride always look sick 🤘🏻 awesome channel
Nice ride. Amazing trial. New stem? =)
Call that bike the Canadian Honker w those brakes. Lol. No need for bell.
Rupert in Alice Lake. Actually a very rideable trail. Just may take other people longer.
feels strange but it really shows the steep of the trail!
“Do we need to ride fast up hill?”
The answer is always no 😂
Insta360 seems to portray the elevation changes better than most cameras. I like it!
New stem? Or is that a different sx?
bon run les gars merci pour ces images
Nice ride guys...i really enjoyed it. 🤘
“Someone else do it first” - apparently we do have something in common! 😜
Can anyone tell me what trail this was please? Looks stunning!
this trail is so sick
is there a big diffrence between the Insta360 ONE X2 and the x3?
I've only used the X3 so I can't give you a comparison on that, sorry!
@@ddangerousddave all good! Thanks for the upload btw
How much travel do your Commencal have? is it a Meta?
intense
So interesting watching you guys send this drop/roll and then Remi also releasing an all out on the same trail.
/edit: totally a drop
Amazing trail and riding! Where is this?
Damn, I was in a cold sweat for this entire video.
so sick dude, im coming over from aus in may if you wanna make some content with me!!
Where is it? These trails looks so sick 💥
Such amazing riding. 🤘
Did you recorded Single lens or 360?
I film in 360 mode and reframe 👍
Super sick trails !
What bike do you use?
BC riders must be going through a set of pads a month 🤣
Great videos Dave!
No snow over there in Feb? Sooo jelly
Lets just take a second and enjoy the riding Sounds
how do u stop the wind noise
I think I saw Remy drop that bit recently.
How do you get to sit on your saddle with nuts that big? Must be attracting the squirrels for sure!

What size bar width do you run? And how tall are you?
Where? 😮
Insane, just insane🤟🏼👍🏻
