Congratulations with a modern and clean city ! Tremendous improvements since I left there in 1975. I used to work on supplyboats stationed at jetty tudjuh. I remember Balikpapan as a nice, peaceful place, where I had many friends.
I would not mind making another visit there. Maybe I could find some of my old shipmates as well. Still remember Pulau Tokong, Blue Sky, Kebun Sayor and those places. I guess they have all gone now.
wah sudah 5 years gak kebalik maaf kalo bahasa ku gak bagus aku sudah lupah . sudah belarjar chinese sama engris did singapore jadi sudah lupah tapi mashi rendu ke indo lagi :)

I went there with a friend on a back packing trip three years ago and was surprised how clean it is for Indonesian city:)
