it appears some people may have missed something , the SS almost exclusively used the ww1 helmets , what i mean is the WH got all the new stuff and the SS had some new stuff but alot of old stuff , this in my opinion is likely an SS helmet of an infantry officer

The first helmet looks like a German WW1 M17 Stalhelm.... Weird.
During WW2, the Germans reissued WW1 M17 Helmets to German WW2 Soldiers.
called transitional ... with WW2 decals aplied.

They were reissued early and late ww2
