I have Sentinel at 5/50 sig 20. That L3 armor up at 100 analysis will let him tank some serious hits. In tough fights I do a L3 first just to reduce all damage and have the trigger ready for if I do need to regen. Once at 100, you can build up to L3s pretty quickly with the special cost reduction. Once there, you can use that cost reduction to regen back to a decent percentage, or use it to spam L2s. Also, you build up slightly faster if you corner him and bait L1s. It’s only 4 analysis unduped, but it’s still better than pushing him to L2s. It’s 4 analysis per power bar compared to zero that you get from pushing him to specials at random.
I think with his health pool and unblockable special onces he reaches 100 charges... He's a great defender... Only time I had no trouble with him was with quake cause I wasn't striking into him

Very very few times the A.I. is smart enough to try to intercept you. If you go back to watch your gameplay above notice the hesitation of the A.I. any time he dashes back and blocks, and you’ll see the slight interval where you can dash and hit him during the block. It’s similar to getting NC to change stances. Wait for him to dash back and block and the moment you see the timer, GO TO TOWN! lol Prior to learning how to properly parry and bait specials, I used this technique often enough to understand it. Generally in almost all gameplay modes that I have experienced (act 5, LOL, arena, AQ, etc..), A.I.’s act in this manner. Hope this helps!
I got a 4* Sentinel the first round he was in the fgmc. Got the 5* and 3* versions in round 2. Just got 1 more fgmc (few days later) and pulled another 5* Sentinel for the dupe. Interested to see his utility when ranked up. Still not sure where I’ll use him the most.

You get analysis charges fast by using his special 1 at the end of a combo, but use it about 1 second after your combo is done so the ai can block it

with sentinel, I would end my combos with a 4th light hit, as opposed to a 2nd medium attack. generates 4 extra analysis charges, if I'm not mistaken

You'd probably push more damage if you kept the armor break up. With the increased duration and reduced energy it should be very easy to do
