good way to farm souls: kill the enemies, leave the game, rejoin, repeat note: this may do something to your blue orb when you die, usually it just doesnt appear and u lose all your farmed points i dont really know how to prevent this though
you can go on the sign just keep double jumping while ur on the sign and shake you camera then u will get on the sign (it might take a while) and yet, theres a finish which is the vip (im pretty sure u can still do it) EDIT: sorry it is not finished its just a glitch you can get up the sign but otherwise the game is not finished

Upgrades do save yes, even if you leave. For tips for getting the available souls, you should get the first tier from the two enemies at level 3 and then go in the pipe at level 4 and and buy the first upgrade. Afterwards, you should kill the rocket noob and the 4 red blobs at level5, those combined give 1500, which is enough for tier3, which you can buy at the shop before Sagat. You also start with tier 1 so you don’t need it. hope this helps

Upgrades make the fight 90% easier, so go for it

One reason for that may be because you had already collected souls of the blobs already; in which case they don’t respawn until you die twice.

Time your jumps with him crossing a gap in the platforms. For me I run towards him and then double jump before his hand goes into the air
