Written by Stef Bos. He wrote this song for his mother who passed away. This song was in 1989 sung during Eurovision Song Contest by Ingeborg Sergeant for Belgium, she ended in 19th place. (Almost Last) After that, the song has rarely been heard. Stef Bos has only sung it a few times himself. Sanne Hans (Miss Montreal) heard it during a performance by Stef Bos, when he sang it he played the piano himself. She liked it so much that's why she chose this song. At the end of all performances, Stef Bos indicated that Sanne Hans had touched him the deepest this night. He said This was really sung from the gut with a lot of feeling.

I love your reaction channel and I’m sorry to see visitor reactions cancelled on your geography now Netherlands reaction video. I absolutely need to react though, so I hope you forgive me this unusual way to react to another video than this one.
In your video you reacted to the legalization of euthanasia in the Netherlands. I heard you say that was done regulate the number of people in the country and that the life of the elderly were considered worth less that that of younger people. This is an outrageously ridiculous misconception. I know that republican politicians use the Netherlands as a terrible example of how euthanasia is so bad, claiming that the elderly fear going to the hospital in the Netherlands, because they end up being killed, so it’s probably not your fault for having these opinions. Never trust an American republican politician though. It’s a huge lie. Euthanasia in the Netherlands is very strictly organized and can only be executed after the written wish of the person in question. The doctor must next assess that there is a clear case of unbearable suffering, because of an incurable disease. Another doctor needs to give a second opinion. If the rules are not followed correctly the doctor in question faces a trial for manslaughter. It’s a very serious thing and not to be joked about. It just offers a way out to people who are in serious distress. Without any hope and really wish it to end. It’s all about being humane and certainly not about regulating the population growth or valuing elderly less. The Dutch are no monsters... it’s totally opposite. Just so you know. Please don’t vent opinions about things you have no clue about.
