It's little tiring for one day trip from Shimla, so if you have time you can stay in Narkanda, also staying in narkanda is very economical compared to Shimla.
On narkanda chowk, in the market, numerous good hotels and home stays are available starting 500 rs. Only, with good and hygienic stay.
