VPD are dealing with addiction 24/7. Living in the West End I see the constant serious interactions between police and individuals who are clearly using hard drugs. Every day is life and death. My neighbors and I in my seniors building are so grateful for the service of the fine men and woman officers. This is a tough time and we see how much compassion and professionalism is demanded of the VPD with the constant incidents. Thank you all and stay safe out there. Vancouver Police are my heroes every day.

Add rumble (which is a deeper mode for sirens) It sounds way better also no need for the - just say HILO, the siren options are wail , YELP ,PHS and HILO then rumble mode then the lights front and back 1 and 2
The rumble is actually sending out vibrations that the deaf can feel through the ground. You will notice they use it when approaching cross walks most of the time

I love VPD. I see these men and women every day where I live in downtown Vancouver. They are so compassionate and professional with patience and skills that good leadership and teamwork builds. My family has been in frequent contact with VPD as we navigate the painful path of recovery for my adult son. After 3 years I can say that the VPD are heroes to someone every single day in Vancouver. The toll of the failure of the province to respond to the need for psychiatric care in British Columbia is staggering. My son has been ordered by a judge to the Forensic Psychiatric Institute for an assessment of his conditions and a treatment plan. My son has waited in JAIL for 30 days... but no bed is available at the Institute. Half the beds are closed due to COVID. Police have nowhere to take certified patients of BC. Police are dealing with patients in psychiatric episodes that endanger all of us. These men and women risk there own personal safety on every shift. I respect and support our VPD with all my heart. My heroes.

I swear my county has supercharged hemi charges because they are loud as hell. Only big cities really use the v6, as speed isnt necessarily as important as being able to turn the darn thing.
Lol it’s not really random...the vast majority are Dodge Chargers or Ford Interceptor Utility (Explorer). The Ford Taurus is an exception (I think there is only 1), and the Mercedes Sprinter has sadly been permanently replaced by the Ford Transit.

Ok. Could have been a call, they sometimes need to respond without lights and siren. If you see dangerous behavior, even if it is the police, you can always call 911 and report it.
It’s not broken, just set to the wrong siren tone. When you’re hearing this noise the Rumbler is set to ‘yelp’ while the siren is actually on ‘wail’ or ‘hi-lo’. If the sound is a bit scratchy it’s most likely due to the low quality of the camera microphone.

I live in Hope BC.Winter of 2006 i watched 2 RCMP cruisers dangerously drag racing up main street then right on 6th ave with no lights or sirens on.
Ok. Could have been a call, they sometimes need to respond without lights and siren. If you see dangerous behavior, even if it is the police, you can always call 911 and report it.
