It is sad. They tried to make us believe that there was no use for this beautiful animal. For it being the USA’s National Animal we show very little respect for this animal. We need to do better.

I broke out in a sweat when I watched this video. I wept. And I have been advocating for Buffalo Field Campaign for the past 7 years. This is a beautiful horrible story because of men trying to control our wild buffalo and the ecosystem. Without thought for the natural world. Sometimes I feel like the campaign to kill the buffalo in the 19th century NEVER ended. I hope everyone who sees this shares it with others. Thank you to all of the BFC workers and founders. We need you.
The treatment towards our National Mammal is uncalled for. The Buffalo Field Campaign is the force for saving the buffalo. I have signed the petition. Brucellosis is not spread by buffalo, it is spread by the cattle. The cattlemen have the money to inoculate their cattle. I fight for our National Mammal. The National Bison Legacy Act, why hasn't the act been enforced since it became a bill on May 9, 2016? I would like a reply please.
In this one instance we are going to listen to livestock producers over science? They need to change the law to where you get fined for killing Bison. Or make stricter laws on Bison protection. Is there a program the public can donate to help support free roaming Bison?

Why does everyone keep calling the “American Bison” American Buffalo? They are not “Buffalo”, they are a different species altogether….
Unfortunately some are raised for consumption now. These poor animals are treated as horribly as cattle. Go vegetarian!!
