Brandon Palaniuk is all in on the professional bass fishing tournament trail. At the age of 31, he has done more than most fishermen have done in a lifetime. After winning the Federation Nation National Championship, which gave him a berth into both the Elite Series and the 2011 Bassmaster Classic, there was no looking back. This is great stuff!! Just curious, why are they weighing the fish in the boat and then allowing you to bring one in to weigh? I assumed there was a slot limit, but when I looked it up there wasn’t??

I keep it neatly tucked into a regular backpack all the time with my fishing gear, and can grab it anytime, put it on my back and go anywhere. I just read in another review that the rod length below the reel is adjustable as well, so I will try that too for even more portability. Probably the best setup I've ever owned. I lost the cap for the eyelets, but no big deal since I still have the black cloth sheath that came for the pole and I use that. Very portable and high quality.

how does this tournament work? Can you explain the size limit and the weigh in process? I noticed you letting some big ones go after weighing them and then signing the clipboard. What's different about this tourney?
Of course! Thanks for taking the time to watch. The minimum length limit was set at 14''. Any fish over that length was then placed on the scale, weighed and verified by our boat official and then we initial the scorecard with the corresponding weight. This tournament was also to support Texas Parks and Wildlife so we brought in our heaviest bass over 21'' to be used for research to help continuing to grow the Texas bass fisheries.
