- അഞ്ചുവര്‍ഷത്തേക്ക് നികുതിയിളവ് അടക്കം പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ച് സംസ്ഥാന ബജറ്റില്‍ ഇലക്ട്രിക് ഓട്ടോറിക്ഷകള്‍ക്ക് വലിയ പ്രോത്സാഹനമാണ് സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ നല്‍കിയിരിക്കുന്നതെങ്കിലും നിരത്തുകളില്‍ ഇറങ്ങിയ ഓട്ടോകളെ യൂണിയന്‍ നേതാക്കള്‍ പെര്‍മിറ്റിന്റെ പേരില്‍ ഓടാന്‍ അനുവദിക്കുന്നില്ല. ഇലക്ട്രിക് ഓട്ടോകള്‍ എത്തിയാല്‍ നിലവിലുള്ള പെര്‍മിറ്റ് കുത്തക പൊളിയുമെന്ന യൂണിയന്‍ കാരുടെ ഭീതിയാണ് കേരളത്തില്‍ ഉടനീളം ഓടാന്‍ നിയമം അനുവദിക്കുന്ന ഓട്ടോറിക്ഷകളെ തടയുന്നത്. ഇതോടെ വായ്പയെടുത്തും സ്ഥലം വിറ്റുമെല്ലാം ഓട്ടോറിക്ഷ വാങ്ങിയ സാധാരണ തൊഴിലാളികള്‍ സര്‍വീസ് നടത്താന്‍ കഴിയാതെ ആത്മഹത്യയുടെ വക്കോളമെത്തി നില്‍ക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.
