RogueRotting360 He's inarticulate by the standards of any other generation. His analysis is elementary and his valid points were made by his teachers. I think this guy is considered the guy because he's easier to market to people who don't often listen to complex music. He hangs out with Bjork or whoever and he writes church music too so he's groovy. I don't dislike all of his music, Gait is pretty good, but it's sad that he's the media's designated Millennial composer.
For those who love who love the bone dry, academic, hermetically-sealed language of Babbitt there's always Bryan Fernyhough and Michael Finnissy. God help us.
