Historical note :
Jagadbandu Sree Angan or Sreedham sree Angan was established by the " Jagadbandu Shundar" during the "Rath Yatra" festival of "Ashar 1306" of Bangla calendar. The land of the anger was distribute by "Sreeram Sundar" and " sreeram kumarmudi" everyday lot of " Bhokto" ( Devotee) used to visit the place. For them the Angon has a facility for providing accommodations. It has around 30 rooms that can take 150 devotees. This angon is a specious area, and there are several player all around it.If you enter the prayer halls, you have to take your shoes off.
most interesting things about the angon premise is, that is was the" Nokha Mandir ". Inside the Mandir, a boat is placed. The founder, Jagadbandhu used to go for jaunt at the Padma with his devotees, and returned during the last part of the night. This is the reason for some name. Beside the Nouka Mandir, there is a "Roth" placed inside a building. The roth completely made form wood. This is not looked like a giant one, only a medium one. During the "Roth jatra" at Ashar of Bengali Alimanac, this is used to exhibit for the people. This place is calm and relent place, no chaos from the outside life.If you pass some time inside the premise, it will simply please you mind.
How to go :
This is located at Goalchamot of the town. This is Between the old bus stand and the new bus stand. If you are going from old bus stand to new one. them the place will be at your right side.
How To Reach : Faridpur District
It would take around 3 hours and 52 minutes to travel Faridpur from Dhaka city via Tongi and Baipayl( বাইপাইল) through crossing the river. The distance is around 138.1 km. Air distance from Dhaka to Faridpur is 56 km.
