    what does the total cholesterol tell you about the breakdown of the LDL? Isn't there large buoyant and small dense LDL(which is the worse of the two)? If my total cholesterol ratio is 5 how do I know if its good or bad? since it says nothing about my small dense ldl. isnt the small dense ldl what i need to worry about most?

    Plasma triglycerides below 0.6 mmol/L (50 mg/dl).
    Vitamin D (calcifediol): 140-240 ng/mL (350-600 nmol/L) or more subject to need, with precautions and according to protocol.
    Parathyroid hormone (PTH intact) 5-25 pg/mL (0.5-2.5 pmol/L), if needed around the lower reference range.
    Love for more oxytocin hormone.

    It is very simple, low level of plasma triglycerides means low number of LDL-P, apoB100 and apoB lipoproteins

      Eight hours, or rather less, from the last meal, in the bloodstream of a healthy individual there is mainly free fatty acids bound to albumin, HDL, (lb)LDL, a little VLDL, negligible IDL and traces of other lipoproteins and remnants. In really healthy people, HDL should contain up to 1-2% triglycerides or 15-30 times less than cholesterol. LDL contains about 5-6% triglycerides or 8-10 times less than cholesterol. Taking into account the fact that in the bloodstream and in a healthy fasting person there is little of the other lipoproteins, mine and the results of other on ketogenic diets, I estimated that the total blood cholesterol should be over 9 times higher than triglycerides, in percentage of mass or molar in mmol/L. As difference (and/or ratio) is greater, better is for health. Thus, the triglycerides have to be below 0.6 mmol/L (50 mg/dL). This, you will not find anywhere else now, except in my book "The First Bioregulation" in Macedonian language.

      The main reason is that during the time the LDL spends in the blood it comes into contact with an oxiising agent, in this case usually Glucose. Your body aims to keep a certain amount of glucose in the blood so there is always a certain about of oxidation of cells. One way to measure this would be to have a HbA1C test, this is a proxy for the average 'glycation' (the form of oxidisation) you have over a few months in time rather than say a fasting glucose test. It is from this test you can generally determine your diabetic status too (5.6+ pre-diabetic and 6.5+ diabetic in a HbA1C, though there is some pathology indicating that some diets allow the Hb part to stay longer in the blood artificially elevating those results).
      Now how this causes an issue with the LDL is that glucose sticks to LDL, after a certain number sticks to the :LDL particle it has changed shape sufficiently enough to no longer be recognised by the liver which is where much of the LDL is taken out of the blood to be recycled. Issues like Familial Hypercholesterolemia (called FH) is that the liver has far fewer LDL receptors in the liver so the LDL stays longer on average in the blood thus on a diet containing carbs spiking glucose, creating a larger % of oxidsed or small dense LDL particles. These particles do NOT cause athersclerosis though. There are several aligned events that need to occur for this to occur. 1, sustained inflammation of the intima part of the artery (a type of lining) leading to thickening. 2, a signal is sent so that the vasa vasorum (smal blood vessels) is grown into this layer to provide blood to the now too thick layer to receive it from the artery normally. 3, high glucose in constant extended periods that oxidise the LDL AND damage the glycocalyx (hair like structures that protect the artery wall from impacts).
      Now FH on a high carb diet still don't get athersclerosis at times a reason could be just enough time has progressed or they don't have the first step. Inflammation is the risk factor that can also be controlled. For instance I have often heard that we have not had these types of heart attacks in any significant numbers prior to the early 20th centry ... and in modern times this is true as it was barely ever heard of or written about in doctors reports prior to then but examining egytian mummies found that many of them ALSO had athersclerosis. Further research on this found their diets were 60%+ carbs and they also had a large amount of vegetable oils rather than tradition animal fats. Vegetable oils are high in poly-unsaturated fats, which when consumed in large quantities can increase inflammation, in particular Omega 6 variety. We introduced vegetable oils back into the diets mid to late 19th century and some 50 years later heart attacks started to become a problem. Coincedence?

      Damaged endothelial cells is the initiator of everything.
      but guess which factors can damage the endothelial cells? the most obvious one are hyperglycemia, smoking, air pollutants.
      The less obvious one is free radicals from digesting good. Which food produces tons of AGEs and there's almost no antioxidants in them?
      yeah it's the bacon, meat, fried eggs, cheese, butter, trans fat, sugar, refined carb, animal fat and oil.
      Which food has antioxidants to combat these free radicals?
      1. food with fiber to slow down digestion
      2. food with antioxidants -can't be carrot, cucumber and iceberg lecture because they simply can't tank enough free radicals from digesting garbage such as bacon.
      These 3 are the most popular vegetable in the US pff
      So now there are 2 main ways to reduce free radicals
      1. eat less free radicals in this case mostly animal products and refined food
      2. eat more antioxidants rich food which are mostly plants to combat the free radicals
      Then studies in blue zones show they eat mostly plants and some fishes with occasional meat and much less oil, sugar. Coincidence? I think not
      sugar consumption increased
      meat consumption increased
      fat and oil consumption increased
      more salt than ever
      less fruit and vegetables
      less physical activities
      less fiber in diet
      be less of a conspiracy theorist and just admit facts. Imagine pointing only at polyunsaturated fat
      If omega 6 is so inflammatory, show me a study when?

    TC/HDL really should be less than 3.5 at least aim for that. Plenty of people with severe angina and coronary disease around 4.3-6. Also make sure total cholesterol is less than 160 mg/dl and triglycerides are under 100 mg/dl fasted.
