I think one can honestly that Erik Satie's music is one of the soothest things in the world. You can almost hear the sound of raindrops gently fall on the ground, or watch the smoke of somebody's cigarette twirling up in the air as it rests on the ashtray's brim consuming itself with an empty cup of coffee by its side. The lists of farniente situations is unlimited.
I've just finished learning this amazing piece after about 4 weeks, and wow this video just opened my eyes. He plays the trills so lightly and elegantly, and the way his bass notes come a slight second before the melody even though it isn't written that way - now I'm inspired to completely re-learn the piece and play it more like Guillaume :) It took me about 2 years to learn all of the 5 gnossienes, but now I will never stop coming back to play them, playing all 5 in a row is like a meditation session.. so relaxing.
@@Miguel14961 I definitely could have learned them a lot faster if I devoted myself. A very experienced pianist could easily sight read all of the gnossienes and learn them in one day. but I learned them very slowly and only one every few months.
IVE LEARNT 1 AND 4 ONLY. BUT I LIKE 5 THE BEST I THINK. IT SOUNDS HARD TO LEARN THOUGH. IT TOOK ME 4 MONTHS TO LEARN NO 4 AND I THINK I PLAY IT REASONABLY OK. THIS MAN PLAYS NO 5 VERY WELL. I ALSO LIKE REINBERT TOO PLAYING IT IN THE ONE WHERE HE HAS A STILL PICTURE, NOT THE ONE WHERE HE PLAYS ALL 6. AS HE PLAYS THAT ONE TOO FAST. BUT THIS MAN PLAYING NO 5 PLAYS IT AT A GOOD SPEED I THINK. IM NOT A PROFESSIONAL PIANIST. I JUST PLAY AS A HOBBY.
This is a really beautiful interpretation of this piece. Thanks for the inspiration. I'm currently practicing it. ❤️ It flows so effortless and beautifully just perfection.
YOU PLAYIT VERY WELL. I MAY LIKE TO LEARN THIS ONE TOO BUT IT SOUNDS A BIT DIFFICULT WITH THE RUNNING NOTES. I QUIT MUSIC LESSONS AT 5TH GRADE WHEN I WAS A CHILD. THAT WAS MANY YEARS AGO AND I STARTED PLAYING THE PIANO AGAIN IN MY LATE 50S. THIS YEAR I WILL TURN 70. I ONLY LEARNT GNOSSIENE NO 1 AND 4. CHECK IT OUT IF YOU GET TIME BUT DONT EXPECT TOO MUCH.
Satie's direction is "Modéré" with quavers @ 48. This fellow does the right hand nicely but there is a lagubriousness which isn't in the score. It's light, questioning, hot summer's day music, not gum boots (left hand) worn by someone trying to hitch a lift. At one point the sustaining pedal vanishes (gum boots on tarmac, not mud? ) Eccentric, like the great Satie.
The music made the man who played it beautiful .

good news if you didnt know, there are 7 gnossiennes bro
Is it normal that all of them take that long?

J adore son interprétation de cette gnossienne.. La cadence parfaite
My favorite interpretation, one day I will play it myself.
Fabuleuse interprétation, toute en délicatesse et subtilités rythmiques. Merci
I reckon what’s make Ed happy is... you
Es normal que te haga llorar? Es preciosa esta joya... pero me hizo llorar, hace mucho no lloraba.😭💖

too much to take. another level not just the piano player but the composer's melody.
Le bonheur a l'État pur durant 4 minutes
C'est beaucoup de nos jours
Les événements qui nous annoncent un futur mortiferqire
Being There, Peter Sellars.
I prefer this in the slower pace as he does. Most play too fast.
Tres zen
