I’ve alway owned an E series van since the 70s 3 to be exact. I currently have a 2001 E350 that I’ve owned since 2003. I envy you finding that Quadratrax - rare indeed and in great shape considering it is 50 years old. Enjoy!
Nice, ya man wanna keep up with the build! Ive got a '97 e350 6.8L v10. Seems like the older ford engines were much easier to get to...mine is under the dash, not easy to work on. I'll be checking back in, have fun!
Please do a more in depth video on who did the 4x4 conversion, what parts they used, what front axle and transfer case is used and good views of the front suspension. My son has a 1969 E300 and we are thinking about a 4 wheel drive swap. didnt know any company did these conversions. New subscriber! And maybe we will do the build over on my channel: Gettin Greasy Garage
Yeah in the near future I’m getting a blueprint crate engine with a 5 speed. But I’m gonna go with auto because all my other cars are standard. It would be nice not to worry about shifting while I’m out on the road you know!😉
Automatic is great and all until it goes out then you gotta replace the whole thing - and it being a 4x4 campervan that would be a bummer if the tranny gave out in the middle of no where - been there done that- but on the standard just put an extra clutch pack with your tools for that rainy day - but either way them vans are rare anymore - good luck and be safe fixen it @@That_guy_mcfly
I have a 73 Quadravan, welcome to the club
LOVE THE VAN. Make it outrapgious. Keep sending wild stuff
This is a very interesting find to build from.
yeah, def want to see more of this restore. Not a van you normally see on the road.
That's a DANK van with lots of potential. I'm envious... I own a '69 shorty camper. love to see these ol gals out on the road.
Very nice!! I have a 72 that I put a 351w in. With TKO 500 😁

Very nice lots of potential if she runs take her home.
Can't recall ever seeing an actual stove/range in a van! What were they thinking?

Nice it got the High top
Soooooo much potential!!
Yeah! It’s an amazing project with a lot of capability 😁
You should be able to go to a equipment rental yard and get your tank refilled with propane
I have a 1970 e200 short box.
Id love to make it 4wd.
That would make a sick off-roader!
That's pretty cool project I kind of Wonder If the previous owner didn't get high in there you know smoke a green leafy substance😂😊
I would like to know where you got that grill gaurd what is it actually for how do I get one
The grill guard came with the van. It might of been custom. Or a factory option from ford when they sold the quadravan 👍
Onward!
Wow is that tall, no corners in that
How much?
Sorry Chief is not for sale😅
you might as well rebuild the motor and put a standard tranny for the long run - good luck
