Kiss Me More by Doja Cat and Sza and Higher Power by Coldplay were literally the two songs i knew were going to get it. I love BTS and Doja Cat and honestly both of them are EXTREMELY talented and a grammy does NOT solidify the impact they have BOTH had. Also just a fyi Doja Cat has been nominated for 20 Grammys and only won 1 OUT OF 20 . BTS has been nominated for 5. Both artists have WAY more things ahead.
Butter's lyricism is awkward at times. BTS have better songs, like Life Goes On and My Universe in the BE album.

Pause let's take a massive step back. Doja Cat and Sza worked hard no one is denying that, what people are annoyed about is more BTS' history with the Grammys and the nominations. Moreover the way the Grammys use the Army fanbase and BTS' influence massively each time, as if they were going to win. Even where BTS were positioned to how they were interviewed on the night.
When BTS did songs in South Korean, the media and critics said they needed to sing more in English. When they sang in English those same critics and commenters such as yourself commented on their English lyrics.
BTS were damned if they did and dawned if they didn't.
When fans mention the hardwork BTS have done, they mean the whole journey. From literally the poor of the poor to selling out international stadiums in minutes.
Again, this isn't about Doja Cat or Sza and I think the comments haven't been rude or tried to discredit their work either. This is more about the Grammys and their using of BTS and Army 💜

Some fans don't think BTS is above everyone and understand that some songs won't win everyone over. And it's just that other artists also deserve their awards. Simply thinking the Butter songs have awkward lyricism is not the same as bigoted media who want English before taking BTS seriously despite their accomplishments.
I always like BTS. The song is still great, even deserving of the win but I can't shake my opinion on the lyricism. It's part of why I prefer the remix.
