- Driving the Klausen Pass in Switzerland, from Bürglen to Linthal. This pass is awesome!
The pass is not as well known as the Furka or Stelvio Pass, and thus not so busy. The road is in good shape, it leads through many characteristic towns, and brings great views.

Letzte Woche fuhr ich mit einer Reisegruppe über den Klausenpass. Es regnete in Strömen. Der Himmel hatte dicke graue Wolken. Die kleinen Bergbäche wurden zu reissenden Wasserfällen.
Gesehen haben wir nicht viel. Deshalb konnte ich diesen Film geniessen.

Oh how I remember this drive and the Susten Pass....talk about white knuckle driving. I'd given the map to my daughter and said get us from Appenzell to Interlaken. I kept thinking, we can't get much higher but of course we did. When we finally descended, I said thank God that's over. Then she told me we were heading for the Susten Pass and now nighttime was setting in. My ears were killing me, my legs were hurting, my head felt like it was going to explode and the signs on the side of the road of smashed up cars were terrifying! At one point we stopped near the top and filled our water bottles with icy cold water that tasted better than any water I've ever tasted. We also found a little log house/campground/pizza/bar (?) and had one of the best pizzas ever! It was a driving error that turned into one of our most memorable experiences of our lives.
There's natural beauty on every Continent. But I swear this entire country is a postcard. Great drive, thank you.

What a beautiful country. I absolutely love this kind of scenery. Maybe because I grew up in this city and all I saw are tall building, cars, smokey streets, and worst of all, people. When I retire, I will make sure I retire in places like this.

Omg! I do not know where to start! I have a fear of heights which I am trying to get over. My first view I was gasping the whole time but it started getting better because the view is absolutely phenomenal! Thank you for keeping it "natural" free of music and not altering it in any way! Cheers!

I really love the Klausen. Did it the other way round with the Audi Quattro 16V.
As long as you pay attention on the other users, people really don't mind if you go a little harder.

I have driven this pass a number of times, but sadly not been able to in 2020.
Hopefully I'll be able to go for another around Europe road trip this autumn, but hard to say with the times we are living in.
I have driven most of the passes in Switzerland, and my favourite for pure driving is probably the San Bernadino pass.
For views, it's a tie between Bernina pass and St Gotthard pass!

@@odiatoka Roadtrip would be the safest on Trollstigen and Geiranger since they are very popular during summer.Oh yeah there is a hiking path up Trollstigen bring raincoats:)
