I live in Brooklyn all my life but work in the city for many years. Since I have got more into bags I have been noticing them. And you are spot on with the MZ Wallace, Goyard, and Longchamp bags( LV neverful is still there but less and I’m not sure if all the goyard bags are real either). I don’t have any of them but I have been considering an MZ Wallace belt bag over Longchamp tote and Uniqlo sling bags because of the quilting and variety. I was surprised to see my first Birkin on the train last year. I’m used to see people coming out of cars with them. I would be a bit self conscious to do so on the train. But yes , up here we want style and comfort. The canvas totes come handy for we don’t use plastic anymore up here. So it has become a necessity but now is starting to become incorporated in peoples practical fashion sense as well. Thanks for coming by my city!!
I’m from Brooklyn. Now I have to keep my eye out for these bags too. I don’t really pay attention to what people are carrying or wearing anymore because I’m too busy looking out for other foolishness and craziness on the train. Great video as usual.
I’m from Minnesota and I work in downtown Minneapolis, I have to say the most common bag I see is the Longchamp. All sizes all colors.

I was in Italy March 2023 and I saw those Uniqlo bags everywhere!
As a person from the LA Orange County area I tend to see a lot of Gucci, LV, Telfar, Goyard and Birkin/Kellys too especially on Rodeo
Goyard is just horrible IMO. So basic with the colours and the painted dots come off over time.
It's just not a good choice IMO.

Yes!!! 💯 I’m on the Upper West Side. The Uniqlo bag and the Baggu crescent are everywhere!!! Along with the Free People or COS puffy sling.
I've lived in NYC my whole life and got into handbags last year. On the subway, I've seen TUMI bags *a lot*, probably even more than Longchamp. But these are the 2 brands I see the most, probably because I commute from Brooklyn so most of the people on the subway with me have fairly long commutes. Surprisingly, I've also seen the Loewe Flamenco more than the Puzzle. I've also seen plenty of Telfar bags, but I feel like I saw more of them 6-8 months ago than recently. In 2018/2019, I saw tons of MCM bags, but not so much anymore. And meanwhile, I have exactly none of these bags 😂 (My current daily bag is the Tory Burch Ruched Kira).

Awesome, Amazing video. Being a New Yorker..I was happy to see I carry a few of these bags. I would have to say I have many Coach Totes and carry those because of the convenience and I never wear my LVs on the train or if I am alone. I am totally loving my UNiQLO. It is so convenient and packs a whole lot. I love my Longchamps also. Thank you again for this wonderful video. You were on point. Can’t wait to see you do other cities. 🥰

You are spot on with the bags in NY. Living here it’s fun to people watch. We also use reusable bags since they don’t give you bags in the stores anymore unless you pay so we bring out bags with us. 😊

The Goyard tote has been popular for many years. I have had mine for a long time and it wears well. The It bag in NYC depends on what area or neighborhood you are in The Target cloth tote is very popular
Goyard is literally everywhere ! Also yes this replaced the neverfull, but the Goyard looks so thin! I see at least 4 a day! No shade 🎉
The Ganni Butterfly bag is amazing! I love mine. Not a NYC girly but apparently could be one. 😂
From NY, definitely any tote bag will do as it is an easy bag to just throw things in. When you say Chanel. You’ll see that more on the weekends. Lots of folks were that for brunch or dinner. In addition to the bags you mentioned, many were a lot of those lulu belt bags, coach, and Dior saddle bags.
The Baggu cresent bag in this same shape as Uniqlo is great too! I have a Baggu nylon bag and love it, it’s great for raining days. I think ppl in NYC like to be a bit more low key when they are out and about.

Longchamp is a wardrobe staple. It’s chic and you don’t have to worry about wear and tear because it’s easily replaceable.

I love these kinds of videos! I just moved from Boston to Dallas so I am people watching a lot and paying attention to what the ladies wear here 😁 I see a lot more luxury and women dressing up than in Boston. NYC brings things to another level! Such good bag spotting. In the 15 years I lived in Boston I think I saw maybe 2 birkins 😅 I am not a fan of tote bags but I can see why they are practical in NYC

I’m from Jersey. Home of the mob wife aesthetic 😂. And we wear whateva we feel like wearing wheneva we feel like wearing it. Jersey is LV monogram heavy, from great-grandmothers to teenagers. Of course we are also Hermes heavy the Evelyn is the “soccer mom” bag. The classic flap is also a top contender. Like NYC the Goyard tote is giving the Neverfull a run for its money. The Birkin and the Kelly are out and about you can spot a few every time you’re out. Not too many MZ Wallace totes out and about but the Longchamp tote will neva die. 😂

I’m thinking of getting a Uniqlo bag for my trip to Turkey, Spain and Portugal in April. Seems like a lightweight, non flashy bag to wear as a tourist. Texas has made me sick of (Texans) Michael Kors and LV.

I say get it! I picked one up in Milan last year because I saw so many wearing it. It was a great travel bag and casual everyday bag. I love mine.
I have two and they are my most used bags. Perfect for travel, running errands, etc. The strap adjust so you can wear is a few different ways and pick the length that works for you.

That ubber elegant style im kind of over it. I like dressy bags but now im more into dressy but more rock vibe like Saint laurent, or in the contemporary brands Zadig and Voltaire.
